  1. Running clock at Central stadium. 35-0 9:39 left in the third
  2. GS won’t lose to the Alice’s. I’d say it’s Titans -15
  3. Thank you for your concession. We can be friends now. Good luck to the Titans. Hope you make it back to LOS.
  4. I think "could pull off the upset" insinuates a close game. Maybe we don't have the same understanding of the English language. Cats by a running clock in the 3rd. Maybe you should throw out a score prediction Nostradamus.
  5. I think you're going to find yourself and your opinion very wrong when Friday night ends.
  6. I think LS' size will be more difficult for us to handle than their speed. I can't imagine they have more speed than we've seen this year, but there is a long way to go before we get to them.
  7. Honestly I feel like it should be 1. Reitz 2. Memorial 3. Mater Dei 4 Castle 5 North 6. VL 7 Jasper 8. Harrison 9 Bosse 10. Central Memorial's losses were so early in the year and they had so many guys out. They also beat MD. Now if they lose to Castle or MD is able to beat Reitz that changes things, but as for now this is how I would rank them.
  8. North is absolutely massive across both fronts and athletic too. I honestly don't see how they don't win more conference games with the talent they have.
  9. How does Castle deserve the second spot when they just lost to MD and were outgained by almost 200 yards? I think VL should be 2 with MD 3 and Castle 4.
  10. Why do you say Rode will "likely" be back this Friday? Isn't it just as likely that he won't be or do you have some insider info none of the rest of us know about?
  11. You legitimately think Memorial is the 9th best team in the SIAC?
  12. I think I could rank 1and 10 but in between is a mess. I guess Reitz has to be 2 but I don't believe they are the second best team in the conference
  13. Wow! That's a tough move. Senior, returning starter moved for a sophomore who, according to Screagle, isn't fully committed to the Tigers football team. Looking hard for something to shake things up.
  14. Couple of interesting games this week after the crazy night last night. Jasper at Reitz has to be the headliner. Tony Lewis will have his guys ready to roll on Friday, you have to believe that. Reitz has won two games and rolled against Harrison (who just beat Jasper), but I think everyone probably feels like Reitz still has something to prove. A win against Jasper would prove Reitz belongs in the discussion at the top of the conference. A loss by Jasper with North, Mater Dei and Castle still on the horizon would pretty much kill Jasper's hopes of at least sharing the conference crown. North at Harrison is game 2 of the week for me. Who belongs and who doesn't. Each time has a nice win under their belt, but how much does it mean to beat a depleted Memorial squad? Can Harrison keep the momentum going and beat a North team that expects to compete at the top? Time will tell. Mater Dei travels to Vincennes to face a much much improved Lincoln squad. Mater Dei struggled with the the Lincoln defense last year. Can they solve it this year? Can the defense continue to play the way they have the first two weeks. Can Vincennes make a huge statement and win against one of the conference favorites? I'll be there to see but I'm hoping to come back south having witnessed a Wildcat win. I have to believe Memorial rights the ship a little and takes care of Central. Even with a injury riddled team Memorial should be able to pull out a win. If they can't it will be a long long season on Lincoln Avenue. Castle is a tough nosed group and John Purdy leads the way. That kid is dynamite. Bosse will struggle to move the ball and Castle won't. I'll take the Knights by a lot.
  15. I understand the concept of point spreads, but that isn't the question I asked. The question was pretty simple. Where do the spreads come from? How are the numbers arrived at?
  16. Who sets these spreads? Castle +14.5 at MD? That seems like a stretch
  17. I'll take MD by a comfortable margin. If the Cats can get their offense rolling this one won't be close. Reitz will also win comfortably. I just don't see Harrison having much going right for them this year. I'll take VL by a score but I could see that game go either way. Memorial should take care of business at Jasper, but the Wildcats surprised most of us last year and could again. I think the heavy losses to graduation catch up to them this year and they fall back some in the conference. I know Memorial has a few guys out week 1 but they should still get the job done. Castle vs. North is my game of the week. Castle lost quite a bit to graduation and their QB not returning, but I believe their defense will still be near the top of the conference. The question is can they score enough to get the win? North also loses a lot of offensive production with the graduation of the quarterback and running back. I expect this to be a low scoring affair. In the end I'll pick the Huskies by a slim margin. I think they score just enough to get the win at home.
  18. The weather was a huge factor in the game. The second half the field conditions were brutal. You couldn't make a cut without falling down. Mater Dei was very fortunate to escape with the win. Linton was a very good team last year and yes, the Eslinger kid was a stud as is Gennicks. Gennicks will be a handful for anyone this year and if he has some help Linton could make quite a run.
