  1. and it's not close. Not to take anything away from Bowen but better than Jaylon Smith? Come on
  2. I think the word you were looking for is “dominant” and they’ve certainly been very good
  3. I don't care what his offensive line was like. He carried the ball 30 times a game against a very very tough schedule. Obviously he meant a tremendous amount to his team. I think he got screwed. He deserved to win it.
  4. And PPs don’t have any kids that aren’t D1 prospects. Just because kids participate doesn’t mean they are players. This is an argument that will go on for eternity
  5. Well MD comes in at 6 on this list and you know what? Who cares! State Champs baby!! I’ll gladly take #6 on this list! Go Cats!
  6. I love the optimism BigCat and I agree the Wildcats have to get some kind of run game working to open up some passing lanes and be able to move the ball effectively. We can't have turnovers, negative plays or penalties that end, slow or stall drives. I also think we have to score more than 21 to win. We've got a great challenge in front of us.
  7. My comment was not meant as a slight to Triton Central. I was simply pointing out that they had strong competition in their sectional and winning it wasn’t a given whereas Linton didn’t really have any competition leading up to semi state. Triton obviously improved greatly from last year and Linton’s record was deceiving
  8. Let’s hope so but Memorial winning sectional this year will keep them up for the next cycle if I’m not mistaken
  9. Maybe Memorial should petition the IHSAA to move up to 5A. Mater Dei does for the state wrestling duals every year.
  10. Yes it does. We were basically 3rd and goal from just outside the 5 (we could have gotten a first down inside the 1) and if we punch it in it’s a running clock against the #1 ranked team in 2a. You can’t tell me getting beat on every week by the likes of Memorial, Castle, North, Jasper, Vincennes Lincoln and Reitz doesn’t make a huge difference in games like this.
  11. At what point did they outscore MD the rest of the way? I think it’s safe to say this one was over early in the second half
  12. Linton Stockton at 20 surprises me a little, but I'm not sure where I would put them either.
  13. I would assume that MD and Andrean both dropped based on the quality of opponents in their sectionals. I'm sure that is the issue with MD. We hit the running clock and call off the dogs.
  14. I would guess that almost all of Stucky's yardage came after MD had pulled their starters in the 3rd or 4th quarter. The touchdown came very very late in the game. But, as stated, new year, new teams. I don't expect a running clock in this one. I just hope to be playing at the Bowl in semi state.
  15. Well then, I like Massey. Honestly, I think if MD travels well, gets off the bus and plays that Massey spread seems about right. Certainly won't be the blowout it was a year ago.
  16. 2019 at TC, 2020 at Reitz Bowl, 2021 at TC, 2022 at TC. I'm sure the coaching staff will follow the same routine as last year. It seemed to work well.
  17. The game last year was on a Friday and the 6:30 start time this Friday is accurate. I can’t imagine MD ever picking a Saturday at Triton again after the 2019 game
  18. I agree with Reitz by a bunch but I think Memorial gets it done against Jasper.
  19. Totally agree. Most classless program around during his time.
