I was the first to admit last year that the Snider/Warren game shocked me in its immediate aftermath…when in reality it was just foreshadowing for both teams’ seasons. Wondering if I should take the same approach this year. Seems like the consensus is that both teams will rely heavily on their defenses early while their offenses figure things out.

Warren also has a transfer QB but I’m not sold on him. That being said, QB play was a major anchor for them last year so I think it can only improve.

I’m just using your posting history against you here to rile you up, that’s all. Look, I am about as anti “woke”/equity as it comes but it seems that you (and many others on here) ignore the reality that many of today’s kids face because you’ve never experienced it. This article suggests that things other than enrollment should dictate classes and I’ve often floated that same idea around here. WHY these programs can’t just “get kids to come out and play” is the root of the problem.

Indy Washington and Arsenal Tech are “metro Indy”. Tech has approximately 2500 students and according to MaxPreps had about 60 kids on the roster last year. Indy Washington had about 650 students and had about 35. Chatard has about the same enrollment as Washington and had over 125… There HAS to be some other factor that I just can’t put my finger on…

What should their primary concern be? I am anxious to hear Cathedral guys’ opinion.

I’ll go a step farther…two state finals appearances in Enright’s tenure losing to an all-time New Pal team and one of the only teams not to be out of the game by halftime against the Dragons. Four other seasons ended by the cheat code known as Cathedral and the most consistent team in a conference that is undervalued and growing. A top 15-20 ranking is completely fair to the Hawks in my opinion…probably not competitive against the top 6A dogs but easily among the best non-6A teams in the state. Play maker at QB in Polston and always solid skill position guys.

Don’t wanna grow too much though…they’d be an afterthought in 6A.
