  1. C’mon though seriously. This is a fantasy right? The IHSAA can’t look at folks with a straight face and cite “education based athletics” and then ask kids to ride on a bus for 90+ minutes each direction to play conference contests, particularly on a week night.
  2. All of these teams are similar in my opinion with subtle differences. I’ll take your questions one at a time. I am not sure I would define East Centsl as being in “reload mode” after losing Ringer as they will undoubtedly take a step back. Now keep in mind when I say that phrase they were pretty much a unanimous top five team in the state regardless of class last year. I think they have the goods to win 5A but will definitely be pushed unlike how they were in 4A. I NEVER worry about Chatard’s graduation losses and they are the definition of a team that RELOADS. I think they are the clear cut favorite in 3A again, could win 4A, compete to win 5A and hang with most 6A teams. Decatur Central is interesting to me as they are a bit of both of what I described above. I expected them to take a step back after the plethora of Tracy’s finally graduated but they just won’t go away. They have a play maker at QB and have the perfect geography, SES and enrollment to be a 5A player annually. If anything, I think Carmel is the head scratcher of this group. I’ve been on record in multiple threads on here saying this is a make or break year for the Greyhounds coaching staff. To lose to Ben Davis and Center Grove is one thing, but now they are in danger of becoming afterthought in their own county. They will be better than their record indicates and the have been the last couple of years due to their brutal schedule, but it’s put up or shut up time for them in my opinion.
  3. No. Two separate complaints. When you have 6 of the fastest 20 men on the planet and your closest competitor went out in the previous round, anything less that gold is a major disappointment. With or without Lyles, this is embarrassing.
  4. Two separate blame games. Lyles didn’t matter in the 4x100. No reason that a country that boasts 6 of the fastest 20 men on the planet can’t get the stick around the track. Haven’t medaled in the men’s 4x100 since 2004. And I don’t hate America, Ronnie. I just have high expectations for US track and field. Distance men showed up. Throwers showed up. Vaulters showed up. Sprinters and jumpers didn’t.
  5. US men’s 4x1, smh.
  6. Brownsburg is 67-19 under John Hart while playing one of the state’s toughest schedules annually. Though I have been as critical of them as anyone on here, they are worthy of their eventual ranking on this list in my opinion (it’s a panel of 1, lol). There are just certain programs I CANNOT rank them in front of until I see something from the Bulldogs in the post season. Probably unfair to their current crop of student athletes, but how ironic would it be if this edition of Brownsburg was the one that actually broke through? Makes me think of that 1998 Tennessee team that won it all the year after Peyton Manning graduated. Not betting on it, but certainly possible I guess.
  7. While I agree the list of teams he chose to include is interesting, I am just sitting over here wondering what Brownsburg has done to merit top 100 consideration… That being said, I enjoy this read every year and could not even begin to imagine the work involved to even begin to compile a competent poll.
  8. Eh, pretty much the same.
  9. Just a bit hypocritical at the high school level in my opinion.
  10. I mean, we’ve got 18 teams in the a big TEN, Stanford and Cal in the ACC, why not some schools nowhere near the dunes playing in the DUNELAND Athletic Conference, lol?
  11. Some takes don’t even deserve a response so I don’t know why I’m even wasting my time here. Is winning 70% of your games in the NFL considered “successful?”
  12. Not concerned.
  13. WHY ARE YOU WHISPERING? You’re a smart guy Bob. Can you tell me specifically from an X’s and O’s standpoint why any of this matters and what advantage it actually gave Michigan as they ran roughshod (literally) over their opponents, had 13 guys (6 OL) drafted and actually went 8-0, including 5-0 against ranked opponents once Stalions was let go?
  14. I am not sure I would view being #12 as “backtracking.” They’ve gone 20-12 in Funk’s last three years and have gone a combined 0-11 against Brownsburg, Westfield and HSE over that same time period. Could totally see them breaking through this year and they have talent and a bona fide 4 star playmaker on the perimeter. I am a full blown believer that 2024 is the year for the 6A parity I have longed for.
  15. You’re high on Fishers huh?
  16. 15. Lawrence North 14. Decatur Central 13. Bishop Chatard 12. Fishers 11. Carmel
  17. Can’t year ya. Speak louder please. ALL CAPS is the new standard requirement when addressing the national champs.
  18. Noah Lyles, SMH.
  19. Hey fellas, just checking in…can you do me a favor and use ALL CAPS for the rest of this thread so I can hear you at the top of this mountain from which I am now living? Thanks in advance!
  20. US men’s long jumpers, SMH. No finalists.
  21. Respect the foreplay Rodney.
  22. Taking nothing away from Alfred at all but that race was over from the gun because Richardson was awful out of the blocks.
  23. Weed affects reaction time I guess Sha’Carri.
