Ultimate high ceiling/reward, high risk pick. His college stats don't exactly jump off the page but his athleticism/potential does. Feels like an NBA style pick. A reach in my opinion but I think Young (and maybe Hooker) are the only two QBs in this draft that are game changers. Just my opinion.

One would figure Merrillville would have an “anytime/any place” mentality these days. They need tourney prep.

I mean, it could also be a stepping stone job is he goes in there and has success immediately...however that is defined at Tech these days. Tech has had 9 head coaches in the last 20 years...so less than 3 years isn't really that unrealistic.
