  1. But Westfield’s is earned. They are on fire right now. Some teams boast false bravado based on minimal accomplishments. Making the semi-state is no joke but Westfield’s body of work heading into Friday night has been much more impressive than Merrillville’s overall body of work. Now, will that matter once the game starts? Maybe not. I still like Westfield by three scores. Schedule strength matters. Plain and simple.
  2. In order of most likely in my opinion... 1. Circle City 2. Hoosier Crossroads 3. Sagamore 4. Duneland 5. Southern Indiana
  3. I do what I can... Here to protect and serve.
  4. Because the IHSAA stuck to their “fewer home games in the tournament” rule after Zionsville’s sectional opponent forfeited due to covid.
  5. Let me know if anyone else on here needs a favor...
  6. Well, not necessarily. Dantonio (terrible human being) is a master mind at the disrespect card and getting his guys ready to play. The 2010’s were the best era in MSU football history and they were no longer a mediocre second rate program. Not to make excuses, but the “punt debacle” game was a freakish incident and will most likely never be seen in the sport again. The trajectory of the program has never been the same since the 2016 OSU “spot gate” game. I am not disagreeing with your notion that a different voice needs to be heard but I have a hard time coming up with a realistic short list of names based on what I know about how the UM athletic department operates.
  7. Temptation makes things happen. Plain and simple. Dwenger should have been on the phone with 91st and Meridian last week too...
  8. Not necessarily disagreeing with you at all because it’s frustrating. The MSU narrative is embellished a bit though. He is 3-3 against the Spartans...the OSU mountain is another story. This year’s loss to MSU is indefensible.
  9. Perhaps, unless it is “toxic.”
  10. No one will take the HCC seriously until they take down the MIC in November... No one will take the 6A schools in the SAC seriously until they take down the HCC/MIC in November... Hell, being competitive would be a step in the right direction for the SAC big boys...
  11. Better than traveling 7 hours for a 90 minute game in which YOU are the ones mercy ruled, lol.
  12. Dwenger should have never had to travel to Zionsville.
  13. Where do you go? Even if there is a “mutual departure” who do you bring in to follow the “savior”/hometown guy who you ran out of town? DT used the word “toxic” to describe the UM job, which is a bit extreme but who is lining up to follow Harbaugh?
  14. Actually, the opposite is true. Fox always puts its best game in the noon slot.
  15. As a Michigan fan, I’ve punched myself in the face every time I’ve seen this thread regain traction and get to the top of the forum. Many thoughts/claims on here are baseless while some are half truths with some merit. I have so many thoughts but will take the high road for now. I’ll leave you with this... How does a guy who has reached the highest peak of the game (the Super Bowl) with a QB that can no longer find a job and turnaround bottom feeders (San Diego/Stanford) at the college level suddenly be a lame duck coach? I have the answer (sorta) but want to hear from the “experts” (especially Notre Dame fans (who didn’t fire Kelly after a 4-8 season by the way) on this board.
  16. And you know this how? Looks to me like he let his foot off the gas against all three in the second half. West and he used to be on the same staff unless I am mistaken.
  17. SES, coaching consistency, offensive identity.
  18. Oh I agree. Was just creating a little wiggle room as DT’s tone made it seem like the conference had fallen off a cliff.
  19. Slipped to #3 in the state at worst however. You've stated this elsewhere. Let's not pretend its the MAC.
  20. HCC records are deceiving my man. They have also played Cathedral (#1 in 5A), Brownsburg (top 3 team in 6A all year) and Zionsville (5A semi-state team playing this weekend). They went 2-1 in those games. You already knew that though. Wins in the HCC are hard to come by.
  21. LCC had to quarantine recently? We are talking specific to the tournament. Let's stick to facts. LCC advanced to the regional because another team had to forefit. They, then get to HOST a semi-state game despite having played one fewer game. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no exact science and perfect answer to either side. Some will believe that teams benefit from one fewer game and others don't. It's not a one size fits all approach. I tend to fall on the side that LCC benefited. That's all. Good luck to both teams on Friday night.
