I mean, you’ve shown you are capable of intelligent dialogue but this obsession and fascination for the sign stealing nonsense seems unhealthy.
You sure you don’t have roots in Columbus or East Lansing?
Starting to feel like the college game, where the power conferences/programs are hoarding talent, both coaching and players, and everyone else is getting left farther behind.
To be fair, TH North is in 5A purgatory.
Also had a recent change in athletic leadership along with a pair of top notch strength and conditioning guys.
Seems like most of the sports are responding positively and are on the upswing.
Boys basketball completely turned their program around overnight (a couple of transfers helped) as they were ranked as high as #2 in the state.
Girls basketball trending towards respectability.
Volleyball always been legitimate.
Boys track with a great chance to win its second state title this June.
The Avon statement is pretty simple. Same reason Pike will give Crown Point some trouble. The HCC is the best conference in Indiana and the Orioles are on the upswing despite the record not being impressive.
I can get on board with your second statement, sure.
Avon is building a monster…just not reflected in the win/loss column yet.
LN will destroy East Central if their trajectory continues like I expect it to.
While I can't answer that, I can tell you that in central Indiana LN and CG seem to do it the best with Pat Mallory and Eric Moore (even though Moore is no longer the head coach in the spring). Brownsburg seems to have it figured out. Avon seems to be figuring it out.
Side note: I am not sure the specifics of the Chatard coaching staff but wait until you see what these dudes are going to do in track and field this spring. If I had told you years ago that Chatard has more speed than any school in Marion County, I'd have been called nuts. But its true.
Seems the programs that are successful year in and year out (at the big school level anyway) seem to share guys on the coaching staffs of football AND track, with some even being the head coach of both.
I don't think that is a coincidence.
Unpopular opinion: OSU’s 14-2 “natty” with a 4th consecutive loss to their main rival has more of an “asterisk” next to it than Michigan’s 15-0 natty that included “signs stolen with iPhone footage” by random low level staffer.
