  1. I think you are correct...although it will be interesting to see if any significant development starts in northern Morgan County, just south of SR144, which is the last Center Grove exit in Johnson County. (that may feed the Mooresville school system)
  2. While that is true, it is still land that includes or connects directly to Greenwood. I am not sure why Greenwood gave us so much school district land either in or just outside their city limits to Whiteland...perhaps they are limited on growth options. Regardless, I think most people in Johnson County consider Whiteland and Franklin to be mid Johnson county in terms of their location. Is that still Indy metro area? I would say so being a donut county.
  3. Really nice update on Lafayette Harrison’s Omarion Dixon, one of the survivors of the horrific crash. Long road back for Dixon, but my money is on this young man. March On You Mighty Sycamore!! https://www.jconline.com/story/sports/high-school/2022/09/08/indiana-state-football-omarion-dixon-survives-fatal-crash-eyes-return/66231393007/
  4. Like I said before, if its on the internet, it has to be true....right? Not disagreeing with your thoughts about making the CFP.
  5. I concur....just having fun with Tempation who claims to know him and his character from his google searches.....
  6. Dabo must have fooled the adults that matter....... https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34548897/clemson-tigers-head-football-coach-dabo-swinney-agrees-new-10-year-115-million-contract
  7. No doubt BD is tough, and that is saying something that you think they are different, given they are back to back semi-state teams. Playing BD is always tough, especially on the west side. And no doubt, been a tough set of games for CG. What a gauntlet their first 4 games....I agree they have to be feeling it. 14 points just seemed like a big spread...but I like the confidence.
  8. BD 14 point spread against CG. Interesting.....
  9. No disagreement.....it was time to move on and the young transfer from Missouri shows a ton of promise....if they can protect him, he has some very nice receivers.
  10. Reunited with his old offensive coordinator at Indiana who is now Washington's head football coach, Kalen DeBoer DeBoer left Indiana to become head football coach at Fresno State, the left for same position at Washington....thus Penix landing in Seattle, a long way from his Tampa home.
  11. It did seem the officials allowed Penn State DB's to grab and hold a bunch....even announcers repeatedly highlighted and commented about this. But, it wasn't the calls that did them in....a factor, but not nearly as big as decisions and execution in other facets of the game. The repeated missed tackles on the TE rambling for the TD with 2 secs on the clock prior to the end of the first half was unforgiveable.
  12. Agree....horrific clock management, unless they felt they really couldn't move the ball on the ground. Everytime the clock would stop on O with an incomplete pass, I would just cringe....
  13. I kind of think of it as when a college team has to prep for the week to play a service academy. (triple option or the flexbone triple option) They will only see that offense once per year, so its a week of instructions and new assignments. The service academies are typically smaller, so that advantage can be quickly overcome. CG will balance up in overall size with Trinity.
  14. CG will do both with the QB in the WingT....under center and shotgun.
  15. One's thing for sure...Trinity is being forced to spend time on the Wing T this week in practice. Guessing they don't see it a ton.
  16. Congrats to the former CG Trojan standout and former Indiana HS Gatorade Player of the year Russ Yeast! Also earned his bachelors and masters degrees while at Louisville and Kansas State!!
  17. I think they are going to have a good season....and it all starts tonight. Big game to set the tone!
  18. But the impact of that kid's decision (especially depending on the kid) may not be isolated to him alone.....and that is the issue. And that impact always isn't positive.... And that was my initial comment about people only focusing on their own "needs" and not accepting that they are part of something bigger than themselves...... I'm not anti-transfer, but I am not carte blanche about it either.....
  19. that's debatable....Cathedral and BD both have one loss. Now BD played Brownsburg very hard and almost came back to pull it out, but they were down very similar earlier in the game. Warren has played 2 tough opponents and the win against DK looks awfully impressive. I can align with you, but I think with the top 7 teams, we are splitting hairs in 6A. I know the least about HSE.
  20. I am not completely one-sided as my last post, but I absolutely align with FB16 hoping to avoid scenario's where kids transfer every year.... You hope in life that people learn to battle adversity, compete, and realize the victory may not result in being a starter...but learning that the real victory is dedication, perserverance, and being part of something that's bigger than oneself. Apologies for being so "preachy"....I'm stepping out the pulpit. Definitely respect other views and accept one size doesn't fit all. Appreciate the dialogue.
