  1. I hear ya....maybe one day Loveland with be #1 on the depth chart. Nice props for Danny Dimes as well!! Good start so far for Warren https://sumersports.com/players/tight-end/
  2. Coach defending his team and their leadership....love the passion!!
  3. It’s early, but at this point certainly agree….
  4. Agree....Temp, always a good read.
  5. Special teams played a big part with 2 of the TD's and Giants never quit. Giants had a kickoff return for a TD. CG will learn from this game. CG also lost 2 outstanding offensive players during the week prior due to injury...still hung 63 on the board. I believe his reference was to the onside kick.
  6. Agreed....Vandy is pretty darn good though...impressive win by the Commodores in Columbia, SC. That was a smackdown!
  7. Couldn't help noticing the whuppin' Old Dominion laid down on Va Tech this weekend. Perhaps it makes the Hoosiers opening win look a tad better......
  8. that's on the head coach...its his job to staff his team. Will be interesting to see if it improves and it should against the upcoming schedule. In fairness, 2 tough games to start off the season and they both came down to the wire.
  9. Oh I agree it was a penalty...but glad official didn't swallow his whistle....
  10. the play calls at the end were interesting with the entire Denver D in the box.....very fortunate on the single flag at the end of the game
  11. will be interesting Sunday...can Daniel Jones remain consistent. Much tougher defense with Denver. But the Broncos had to work hard to overcome a Titans team last week at home. Definitely a winnable game. Go Colts! BTW, Tyler Warren is a beast....thank you Bears!!!!
  12. Unfortunately, I don't think the Big 10 and CFB gives a hoot about high school football scheduling, let along the matchup of Bloom South and Bloom North, and also TH South and TH North (also occurred last night) impacking attendance. I as at the IU game last night...actually, the attendance was better than I expected for a friday night game against an opponent in which the home team was favored by 48. (beat the spread easily)
  13. I don't feel so bad anymore.....wowsa!!
  14. Ran out of funds and had to save money on the paint??? 😁
  15. just laid 63 on Ben Davis....the Trojans must really be bad. 😉 That was after losing 2 key offensive players for the season in the last week.
  16. thank you DK and IGD team. Donation just made!!
  17. back in the day, Lawrence Township, Southport and Perry had teams in the IEFA. Also, for years Northwest had an IEFA team. Is this a fairly recent change?
  18. I don't know....in 39 years of the largest class of state football, HCC has won 2 titles......not a huge sample size. I think Carmel and CG would absolutely consider moving back into the MIC if invited...while attendance for football was a factor, it was really about the other sports that drove them looking outside. Given the challenges of finding games, I think the MIC would absolutely be a major option for both schools, and if they return, MIC moves back to the top. They would have the big 4 plus LN...as Coach Mallory has really led that program.
  19. I feel you Irish! Are you talking about losing the 3-0 lead late in the game Sat against the O's, falling 4-3?
  20. Aiden Fisher...great IU linebacker and even a better person. After losing his father and step father to aggressive forms of brain cancer, he is reaching out to help others facing the same battle..... https://x.com/Jared_Kelly7/status/1951015979317698932/video/1
  21. I agree with you about more expansion....just so many teams now. I would love to see the NFL realign divisions first with more of a regional footprint. I know that would impact some old rivalries, but the Cowboys in the NFC East? Colts in the AFC South? Miami in the AFC East? To me, there is some work to be done in this area. Future cities...I understand the CFL, but Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America, only behind Mexico City, NYC, and LA. I would think this has to be something to consider, even with Buffalo close by. Perhaps after a study of % of Buffalo fans from Canada/Toronto area. But one team in Toronto, would truly make it "Canada's Team" in the NFL. No more teams in Florida...and Austin TX doesn't seem to make sense with the Cowboys and Texans, and most importantly UT. Just don't see Austin as a NFL city. St. Louis probably deserves a team. Portland...again, not a huge city, big soccer and NBA town. Not sure I see it as NFL. Seattle is 3 hours away with not much inbetween....I made that drive last year going to the IndyCar race in Portland while visiting family in Seattle. Same with OKC...just don't see it as a NFL city and there would be so much competition from OU and OKState. Salt Lake is interesting....on the fence with that location. With NBA and the new NHL team, can they absorb another pro sports franchise right now?? Interesting topic Irish!!
  22. You are probably right....but the equation for rapid success today seems to be how much $$ one is willing to spend. If Purdue lays down top dollar for players, they can improve quickly.
  23. Yes, if I were a coach and a child was on the fence about participating, I would talk to him (and mommy & daddy if needed) about the values of the sport, beyond winning and losing. Hopefully, they would see the potential in what I as a coach would be teaching their child in this activity. Now, done going down your rabbit hole. Have a nice weekend. Get outside...the weather is awesome!
  24. That the program may be in a cycle with less talent and/or the right coach had not been hired. But it only takes the right hire to perhaps change everything. Center Grove had ONE sectional title in its history before HC Eric Moore. It doesn't mean the football program had little value prior to Coach Moore. Look what has happened in his 2 decades of tenure since. Now a consistent state powerhouse. Sure glad the administrators didn't vote to eliminate the program prior to Moore. No dodge at all. If a person has played the game of football, they understand the inherit value to a young man playing the game, and how those lessons learned apply across life. Additional explanation is not needed.
