  1. Lawrence North Coach Pat Mallory’s son Breck commits to Western Michigan. Congrats Mallory fam!!
  2. They really wanted to win for the fans. Just dang good men. Listen….
  3. I used to love to see Tony G at Pacers game sitting on the front row during the playoffs back in the Miller/Smits era at MSA. His wife was from Indiana, they had a home here and he was a big Pacers fan. Incredible athlete and from everything I've read, a wonderful human being. Passed way too soon. https://nypost.com/1999/06/04/pacer-fan-gwynn-knows-patricks-pain/
  4. Center Grove's CJ Scifres 6'6" 325 OL commits to Indiana University. (class of 2026) https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/indiana-lands-offensive-lineman-cj-scifres-from-in-state-power-center-grove-250923063/ https://247sports.com/Player/CJ-Scifres-46155273/
  5. I am not sure it was a deemed a mistake by the arrogant F1 brass......It would seem intentional
  6. A few years back, the Naval Academy was playing IU in football in Bloomington. That day, IU was dedicating the bow of the ship USS Indiana to be placed at the main entrance at Memorial Stadium. A good work friend has a son at the Naval Academy and he was on the tailgate committee. Problem...the government was in a shutdown and there had been talk earlier about suspending all academies sporting events. That did not happen, but suffice it to say there were no funds for tailgaiting and for Navy to send some student to this dedication at IU. Somehow, the idea came to reach out to Mr. Irsay. Without reservation he funded the dedication and it was quite an event. Mr. Irsay came down and spoke a few minutes...not a word about himself...all about the beauty of college football and the dedication of our men and women serving. He didn't stick around long and went back to Indy. His only stipulation about his donation and genorosity.....not a single word to be spoken to the media. His only desire was to keep it private, and that they did. My friend was blown away with Mr. Irsay's actions. There is a reason why a number of the Colt players had Jim as the person speaking for them at their HOF induction. The players loved him. Pat McAfee's words about Jim Irsay tell us so much about him as a man. To see Pat torn up over his loss tells you what he meant to the Colts organization. Prayers for Jim's final rest.
  7. Sure hope he looks like this old handsome cuss.......
  8. Sounds like we are both blessed. Guess you must have more time on your hands to stir the 💩. Or perhaps simply more motivated to do so…. Enjoy the holiday!
  9. Been reading many comments on social media about Jim from former players, coaches, etc. You can see how much he was admired for how Jim treated others. Had his issues no doubt, but sure tried to give back and share love with others.
  10. One doesn't have to be "triggered" to think a person has issues. If I come across "judgmental" to you, it's probably because you earned it.... Something I hope you find helpful..... https://www.lifehack.org/articles/productivity/20-hobbies-which-will-make-you-more-productive.html
  11. My point is Curry is an incredible athlete that offers a ton of versatility. He played very well as a #2 for his position, and picked up a natty in the process. Never a comparison between Grant and Curry. Happy for Grant. What's wrong with you? Is your ego so low that you think a candle burns brighter by trying to blow out the candle of another? Man, your life must suck. Almost feel sorry for you....almost....
  12. Regress? How many lineman are athletic enough to play the number of special teams Curry plays? Bottom line, he was behind some guys that decided to stay and now will be playing Sunday's. He will get more opportunity this year. I wish he had left and went to IU last year. But kudos to the young man for not running when times got difficult and decided to stick out his commitment. You could have given him props. Don't mistake feisty for drinking too much of Grandpa's cough medicine and losing a chunk of brain cells.
  13. Those were my thoughts…while not perfect, not aware of another source more accurate. I do think it’s tricky when coming up with all time greatest lists. Very tough to compare not only the team itself, but the quality of competition those teams all went up against.
  14. Dang Boomer…how do you really feel about CW??
  15. No disagreement...I realize ESPN like to sell as well....and in their minds as well as media in general negativity sells. (perhaps sadly true) I still think the Colts and Bears should trade Caleb for AR straight up.......😁
  16. So Caleb and Dad didn't want to be drafted by the Bears?? Interesting read, although looks like he eventually found peace with being picked by Chicago......... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45161794/caleb-williams-sought-way-going-chicago-bears Excerpts from the article.... Quarterback Caleb Williams was so concerned about being picked by the Chicago Bears in 2024 that he and his family weighed circumventing the entire NFL draft, consulting with lawyers to figure out a way around the league's collective bargaining agreement while considering signing with the United Football League, details from a forthcoming book reveal. "Chicago is the place quarterbacks go to die," Carl Williams, Caleb's father, told Seth Wickersham, author of "American Kings: A Biography of the Quarterback," in the months before the 2024 draft. Caleb Williams wondered aloud to confidants: "Do I want to go there? I don't think I can do it with [former Bears offensive coordinator Shane] Waldron." Carl Williams went to great lengths to try to circumvent the NFL draft, Wickersham writes, wanting to give his son an opportunity to choose his future employer. The Bears had not drafted a star quarterback since the 1980s, and their recent draft selections, Mitchell Trubisky and Justin Fields, didn't pan out. Carl Williams was worried that, with the franchise's history, stadium uncertainty and offensive performances under then-head coach Matt Eberflus, Caleb Williams wouldn't have the organizational support to succeed. "I don't want my son playing for the Bears," Williams told several agents in 2024. "The rookie cap is just unconstitutional," Carl Williams told Wickersham, later adding that the CBA is the "worst piece of s--- I've ever read. It's the worst in sports history." After an up-and-down final season at USC, Caleb Williams was unsure of what he wanted to do as he prepared for the 2024 draft. At the NFL combine that year, he met with Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell. The two hit it off, and Caleb Williams began to dream of what it would be like to play for Minnesota. "I need to go to the Vikings," he told his father. "Let's do it," his father replied. But both Caleb and Carl knew that a trade to a divisional rival was extremely unlikely. Bears GM Ryan Poles stood firm, telling Williams, "We're drafting you no matter what." That left one option: To publicly attack the Bears and the city of Chicago, hoping that it would make the situation untenable -- similar to what Jack and John Elway had done with the Baltimore Colts in 1983. "He's worried about me taking bullets," Carl Williams told Wickersham of his son. "I don't care. I just don't agree with this s---, you know? I'm more interested in making sure that he can do what he wants to do." But Caleb was concerned that if they did try and the Bears refused to trade him, it would make a tough situation worse. In the end, Caleb Williams told Wickersham, "I wasn't ready to nuke the city." After a predraft visit to the Bears facility, Williams believed he could be part of a process to turn the franchise around. "I can do it for this team," Caleb told his dad. "I'm going to go to the Bears."
  17. Curious....do you have a better source?
  18. ????? Jumped to a program that has struggled mightily with a first year head coach? Scratching my head....
  19. Sometimes fans just need to swallow the medicine and accept their team screwed up… in Michigan’s case…at least twice in recent history. At least twice. Sugar coating or comparing to other’s sins doesn’t make the blemish go away.
  20. So justify actions based how others behave? Rationalize it’s ok if less worse?? Nice standards!!
  21. While you may sugarcoat it all you want, suspensions for the last 2 UM head football coaches. Not the way Bo would run his program. Bet UM admin will give Moore less rope to hang himself than they gave Jimmy boy.
