  1. Hoping someone can knock off Luers. Only 2 out of the last 9 state champions in 3A have been public. Would be nice to see a public school win 3A again.
  2. Can't they both just win and go to 3A already.
  3. Really cool to see Coach Grant and the Warriors having a lot of success this year. South Adams is not what the Warriors wanted to see Friday night. From what I've seen they like to sling it around the yard, something the Warriors have struggled with stopping all year. I'm not sure either team will be able to stop the other. High scoring game in this one with the winner being whoever has the ball at the end of the game. North Judson by however much they want.

  5. Wouldn't be an upset in my book, but I can see how everyone else might see it that way. Maconaquah's speed allows them to hang with anyone in 3A in my opinion.
  6. You're kidding right?
  7. Maybe the conference as a whole isn't as strong as what many including myself thought it was. Obviously Adams Central is the outlier. I think they are more than for real still, but only four teams remain in the playoffs, and I gotta think there's only going to be two after tonight. Southern Wells probably wouldn't be playing tonight if they didn't have a bye round 1. Tough to say with Bluffton having to face Adams Central round 1 and not getting to play a non-conference opponent instead, but I think even Bluffton wasn't as tough as many thought they would be this year.
  8. They definitely do have a lot more of them for sure. Just from the film I've seen on the Cougars, I'm not super impressed with any of their guys named Jim or Joe.
  9. I'm taking the Panthers this week. This will be the first true test of the season for Carroll. Up until now they just had to make sure they are on the field by kickoff. This week they are gonna have to do more than just show up. A couple of their games are way closer than they should be. If they prove me wrong so be it, but they need to do just that. Prove you are for real this week because Pioneer is always going to bring it against whoever they play.

  12. It was a fun game to watch, not great football played, but was fun to watch for sure. It's amazing how low the score was, but yet how much of the game was played inside the goal line and twenty.
  13. Tipton at Alexandria - Haven't seen either of these two teams play. Common opponent has been Eastbrook. Tipton was able to beat them last week while Alexandria lost by one point. I expect it to be a good game. I'll take Tipton just based off of the Eastbrook scores as well as Tipton's ability to stop teams from scoring very many points all year. Should be a good one tho. Rochester at Eastern - Eastern is very athletic. Can strike at any point with the type of offense they have. Rochester likes to grind out yards and clock. Both teams have to take advantage of every possession they have. Hopefully Rochester learned a thing or two from playing Maconaquah going up against the spread. I think Rochester wins this one.
  14. If you ever have some spare time, this game is on the IHSAATV network. You will get a hoot out of watching the game. There was nothing impressive about either team other than maybe Sheridan's first drive. It was like neither team had ever played football in the rain before. I think the entire 3rd quarter was played between Taylor's end zone and their 20 yard line, all Sheridan got out of it was 2 points. Absolutely comical, definitely worth a watch.
  15. Figured I'd get this one started before the games tonight. Probably the only sectional in the North that doesn't have a clear favorite. I could see four teams coming away with this one. Love to hear other people's opinions on the sectional as a whole as well as who ya got for the matchups tonight. Alexandria [6-3] at Wabash [2-7] - Wabash finished the season with two more wins than I thought they would have. Season comes to an end tonight. Alexandria with a running clock at some point in this game. Eastbrook [4-5] at Tipton [5-4] - Game of the night in the sectional. Watching a few games of Tipton they don't really have that dude they have had in years past when they are extremely tough to beat, but they just always seem to hang around in games. Very disciplined, look well coached. Eastbrook has looked like a tough out for everybody in 2A at times and other times they've laid an egg. Will be interesting to see which team shows up tonight, but I'm going to take Tipton with the home field advantage in this one. Elwood [1-8] at Rochester [7-2] - Hopefully a running clock at some point in the game for the Zebras. Blackford [2-7] at Eastern (Greentown) [5-4] - Eastern gets the job done tonight. Too many athletes for Blackford to handle.

  19. Carroll Flora, doubt it will be close. Common opponent Clinton Prairie, Frontier beat them by 10, Caroll blew them out. Not a huge fan of transitive property in football, but I think this one is pretty glaring. While Carroll's schedule isn't anything to call home about, I doubt Frontier would go undefeated in it, but just my opinion.
  20. This woman has to be related to Muda. Swear to God she does
  21. He's probably gonna say it right to your face too! I don't know what you're smoking, but I want in on it! Ain't a snow balls chance in hell them Wildcats are making it out of this Sectional. Maybe get past Posey but Linton's gonna open up a can of whoop a$$ on them.

  24. They are my pick to represent the North. Anything can happen in the month of November tho!
  25. Haha just having a little fun. I do think it was a ticky tacky call, but wasn't the reason Guerin lost the game. LCC played great defense down the stretch. Not sure I agree with the fourth down call to go for it, but I also understand why the coach did it, LCC had all the momentum and must not have thought they could stop them. Like the ballsy go for two call at the end too. You are right tho, those darn refs don't get anything right!
