  1. In 2016 it was changed to 3, then in 2019 it was changed to 2, and now it back to 3.
  2. This change just moves it back to what it was before 2019. Pre-2019 it was 3 points to stay up, then in 2019 they changed it to 2 points to stay up.
  3. Not much hype in Indiana, but MaxPreps has it as the #8 game of the week.
  4. I'm pretty sure that most of the top Chatard and Cathedral football players work out together at the exact same facility, with the exact same trainers. They go to Genesis Sports Performance on 65th Street.
  5. https://www.ihsaatv.org/?B=649927 That's the link from IHSAATV.org. I think all approved broadcasts for Indiana sports will be listed on IHSAATV.org website.
  6. If the weeks 2 through 5 games are 2-year home and home contracts, then CG will be traveling a lot weeks 2-5 of the 2024 season. They would travel to TN, Louisville, Cincy, and Columbus in 4 weeks.
  7. CG added Harvest Prep from Ohio to their schedule in week 5. It looks like Harvest Prep has a total enrollment of 657 students and plays in Level V division of OHSAA. I'm guessing that won't be a very close game. As of now, the CG schedule only has 3 opponents from Indiana; LC, LN, and Cathedral.
  8. I didn't say that the adults in Indiana don't feel like its a big deal. I get that the adults are upset about it. I specifically would like to know... how are thousands of student athletes being penalized? I just don't see how the athletes at either school are being penalized. If they were losing out on games, at bats, football snaps, etc. then I could see it, but they will probably not have any less games because the two schools won't play in the regular season in the future. Those games will be replaced with others.
  9. So... how are THOUSANDS of student athletes being penalized? It's just one game per year per sport. They could still play in the playoffs. Imagine the hype for those games!!
  10. I get that if the contract cancellations were caused by the issue at the basketball game in January, then that is probably an overreaction. How are THOUSANDS OF STUDENT ATHLETES being penalized? It's one game per year per sport, and those games will probably be replaced with other games. Therefore, no student athletes will play less games in a year. Why does anyone outside of CG and Carmel really care if they play each other in the regular season? Looking at both schools tentative 2023 football schedules, Carmel is still playing every MIC school except Pike, and CG is only playing LC and LN.
  11. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2023/02/09/carmel-asks-to-cancel-center-grove-game-contracts-in-all-sports-copper-kettle-indiana-high-school/69890541007/
  12. All of the MIC schools but Pike are still playing Carmel next season. Only LC and LN are still playing CG.
  13. Cathedral has already added some of the MIC teams that aren't playing CG anymore. North Central will play Cathedral in week 5 next year. I heard that beginning in 2025 Cathedral added Carmel and Ben Davis to their schedule also. Roncalli is playing Cathedral starting in 2023 also. Adding those 4 games will mean they don't have to worry about playing the Cincinnati teams.
  14. Apparently. So, for the new kids... what's the point of your question?
  15. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vT7CI6B1hNH8N77QoRu1Tk8pZaRtIoh-a1jzJprafki1S51n34XagTKCQDDPP_4YO8E_4S_00RcvJhm/pubhtml Here's the list of IHSAA approved broadcasts for the regionals.
  16. I think the Mr Football award is presented by the Indy Star, not the IHSAA.
  17. The Ft Wayne sectional is 12. That would be the highest sectional number in the north of the state.
  18. Both home teams win, or both visiting teams win... bottom team is home for championship. 1 visitor and 1 home win... the team that was visitors hosts the championship game
