  1. Just spitballing here, so hold the pitchforks please. What if you split the classes further. Group the 1st 17 in 6A LARGE Next 16, 6A SMALL 5A LARGE the next 16 5A SMALL the next 17 Emphasis on grouping schools closer in enrollment 1st, then by geographic location. And yes, I'd throw the 4 largest schools in the state into the same sectional and go from there.
  2. Take it a step further, combine Rossville, Central and Prairie into a single school and you would have 2 similar sized schools in the county.
  3. Oh, sorry I wasn't aware of that. For some reason I thought this was an LC / LN thing. Possibly the parents of the child are not together, and one lives in the Pike district or has custody?
  4. Is it possible the Lampley's live in the LN side and she just so happens to coach at LC?
  5. Wasn't Noblesville in the CSAC for a short time in the 80's? Wikipedia doesn't seem to think so, but I could swear they were. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Suburban_Conference

  9. The Sheridan community needs to do what a fellow conference school's community did a few years ago. Community was upset with fb coach and Athletic Director, voted the school board out, and the 1st thing the new board did was push out the AD and football coach. But at least this gives the town something else to talk about besides their monthly water bills.
  10. I've heard Greenwood and Shelbyville from the moment this conference was 1st announced were involved in negotiations to join.
  11. Here's an old example of the points system that used to run in the newspapers in the weeks leading up to the playoffs.
  12. That page, as I'm, sure most of the pages like it are, is a hot mess to say the least.
  13. Yup very strange situation indeed. Wednesday - Suspended. Thursday -Meeting about suspension. Monday - Reinstated. Must have been a lot of fact gathering over the weekend.
  14. There are a few yearbooks on the classmates website. You can also use inspire.in.gov and click on the newspapers link and search for the Indianapolis Star, it has all the past editions except for the last 30 days or so. I may be able to help you with what you are missing if you want to dm here.
  15. Looks like 37 in uniform to me, but I'm getting older and the eyes aren't what they used to be. Chatard listed 66 on the state finals roster that year. 29 were Freshmen.
  16. Here is the best place for boys basketball :https://indianahsbasketball.homestead.com/boys.html Ans the message board is very active : https://harrell.proboards.com/board/2
  17. Why would these games be any better? WeBo is a strong program right now and Sheridan should be aiming to be more competitive with them. Replacing them with the any of the 3 schools you mention would probably have the people calling it pointless in a few years as well.
  18. Sheridan has replaced their home side bleachers. Looks pretty nice, IMO.
  19. Also played from 1974-80, with Sheridan winning all those games.
  20. Are Clinton Central, Clinton Prairie and Sheridan looking? Or are they all happy with their current conference?
  21. Sheridan may have moved on in order to be more competitive in other sports besides football. Besides football, I doubt any of the other sports were very competitive in Hoosier. The boys basketball team was 15-62 in conference play during their time in the Hoosier the girls 9-64.
  22. I have completed my 1st step of the "Blue Bloods Spreadsheet". It's currently 8 pages and has a lot of data in it so I'll try to cover what it does and does not do. Each class has a page tab at the bottom, with the current class assignments sorted alphabetically. (Thanks to the IHSAA for reclassifying after I started working on this). 😒 On each page it lists all the success factor points each team accumulated per year using the current success factor formula since the all in tournament started in the fall of 1985. It then totals all the points and gives you a yearly average. You will see yearly averages and points earned for the following time frames - ALL YEARS, 1st 28 years 85-2012, past 25 years, past 20 years, past 15 years, past 10 years, past 9 years- the addition of the 6th class, and past 5 years. It does not care what class points were earned in, you carry all earned points to your current class. Unfortunately I don't think the data is sortable in it's current form without copying it into a new spreadsheet, which is what I did for the 6A leaders page. This is due to how many changes and merges of the cells so I apologize for that, but I plan to eventually do a leaders page for each class. Finally I'm sure there are mistakes, errors or omissions. I've probably fat fingered some info into cells it does not belong, or screwed up a formula somewhere. If you see something questionable, let me know and I'll research it and get it corrected. Also some schools have not played in every tournament or new schools have opened since 1985 and I'll have to make adjustments for them in some of the formulas. I've done some, but not all. So here you go.......SUCCESS FACTOR BLUE BLOODSxlsx.xlsx
  23. I'm currently working on some spreadsheets which will show how teams have fared over the years. I hope to have them all completed and posted here in the next couple of days.
