Ben Davis 37 - Crown Point 28 I believe this will be a good game, unlike 3A and 4A. CP is for real and, quite frankly, BD is very fortunate to be here. Honestly, Brownsburg is the best team in the state, they choked an 18 point lead in the 4th quarter against BD. This comes down to athletes in the end, BD has more hence they find a way to win

East Central 49 - Northwood 14 While I would really love to see a colossal upset, it just isn’t going happen.This game will be decided by the middle of the 2nd quarter

Luers 24 - North Posey 21 - Respect to both teams, just think Luers will get it done in the end

Snider 28 - Decatur Central 14 I think this will be an excellent game. Decatur likes to run the ball, but is very capable of passing the ball as well. When passing, they prefer the short, quick passes. QB is a capable passer. Defensively, they are quick to the ball. Looks they are vulnerable in the secondary. Like Merrillville, they will try and take Buchanan away, but that makes Billingsley even more dangerous. Snider has sprinkled some option recently, it could get more frequent in this game. I believe the difference in this game is Snider’s defense. We shall see what happens

Merrillville’s defense was top notch, no doubt. Thought going into the game the Pirates would struggle to score much against Snider and that proved to be true, but the defense was legit for sure

So let’s take a quick look at the classes: 1A - Lutheran and Adams Central, who else is there? 3 straight years of the same matchup 2A - This class is really down. Luers is a great football school, but they are an average football team this year that looks great against 2A competition 3A - Chatard and who else? That’s right, nobody 4A - East Central and???? 5A - There were at least 6-7 teams capable of winning a state title, other than 6A, no other class has more than 1-2 teams realistically 6A - 6-7 teams had a shot to win a state title My point is while you say Snider is heads and shoulders above everyone in 5A, that statement just isn’t true. Look at the other classes, pretty damn easy to pick the cream of the crop except in 6A

Fact check yourself dude. Snider is relevant almost every year, regardless of what class they are in. Certainly one of the most consistent teams in the entire state. As BTF pointed out to you, Snider has been in 6A recently and if they win Friday night, will be again. Quit picking Snider , we certainly don’t care, and hang your hat on Chatard and the creampuff 3A class

Agree with you 100%!!! As great as East Central’s season has been, who have they beaten? They literally haven’t beaten anyone other than a 4 loss Moeller team. That schedule is creampuff like. Do I think they can compete with 6A teams? Absolutely. Do I believe they would have run the gauntlet that Ben Davis has ? No. Playing the BD schedule, they are 9-4 or 10-3 honestly.

All good. People talk about the weakest class of football, it is really 2A. No disrespect to Luers meant, I cheer them on when the playoffs start, but this is the weakest team they have sent to state in my opinion

Well, every team is capable of a bad game sometime during the season and that quick 14-0 lead against Homestead in the first 6 minutes was fools good. I do believe that was a wake up call and Snider is very dangerous right now
