  1. Sorry, winning at the Swamp does not mean what it meant 10-15 years. That program is barely a shell of what it use to be
  2. Florida State did everything they were suppose to do and got screwed. Absolutely true. I feel bad for them. Do I think they are one of the best 4 teams in the country? No.
  3. What would you call North Alabama? Southern Mississippi? Throw in about 6 brutal ACC teams and it’s a wrap. Damn, I don’t like Alabama or Texas, but crap, they both would hammer FSU. The quality of FSU conference is flat out bad. One of the reasons Notre Dame gets called out for their scheduling they play 5 ACC teams a year. Worst power 5 conference out there and it’s not even close Well said
  4. Yes I stated that either in this thread or another thread. Difference is the ACC conference stinks while the SEC does offer some pretty good opponents. Bama also played Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, and LSU
  5. Sure they can, quit scheduling Patsy Central. FSU certainly scheduled some weaklings and their conference flat out stinks
  6. You are right, money talks and ESPN is in bed with the SEC so…. FSU had a nice season with a piss poor schedule, that is fact. Here is the problem: what is the criteria? It changes to fit the committee’s purpose, that much is obvious
  7. I empathize with FSU, I really do, but strength of schedule triumphs being undefeated. You just can’t say or believe FSU would be undefeated playing Alabama’s schedule. I see an absolute minimum of 2 losses, most likely 4-5 losses for FSU. I truly believe the best 4 teams still didn’t get in. If it were me, Georgia has to be in and I would take Texas out
  8. I predicted this exactly right as much as it pained me to do so
  9. Counterpoint 2: Alabama played Chattanooga, Middle Tennessee State and South Florida. That is a murderers row of Patsy Central
  10. Florida State would be a double digit underdog with their first string QB vs. any of the top 8 much less with a 3rd string QB. Let’s be honest, had they played the schedule of any of the other top teams, 3 losses at a minimum. Here’s a thought, schedule a real non conference schedule instead of Patsy Central. That goes for all of the top teams. Middle Tennessee State. Youngstown State. Incarnate Ward. Sadly, I think the scheduling of cupcakes will get worse with the playoff growing to 12 teams
  11. I agree on the top 4 for sure, even though I am not a fan of Texas and Alabama. Personally, I would flip Ohio State and Oregon, but that is just me. If Florida State makes the top 4, it will be a sham as I have no doubt they will get housed by anyone they would play. Even if their top QB wasn’t hurt, I would feel the same way
  12. 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. Alabama
  13. I hope this guy is legit, but I have my concerns. 62 years old really doesn’t lead to having time to build a program. Not sure why he feels the need to poke the big boys, but I guess it is better than Biden talking about vanilla ice cream…
  14. Northrop gets torched yearly by Luers…
  15. IU is an upgrade?
  16. I will be stunned if Mike Hart comes to IU
  17. Can you blame any of them? IU football has been a dumpster 🔥
  18. I have full confidence that the officials could and would adjust to 7 man crews. Example, MLB uses 4 man crews throughout the regular season and goes to 6 man crews for the playoffs
  19. No worries. Don’t want to argue about it, you have your opinion, which I respect, just see it differently
  20. I like your idea sir. As the games grow in importance, not only should you have the best officials, but adding a couple to avoid missed calls should be considered a good thing. Alas, the IHSAA stands in the way, shocker
  21. Quite a bit actually. What don’t you understand? There have been many years 2A football was really good and deep with 8-10 teams that could win a title. Not this year. Go back and watch 2A South and tell me that is good football. It’s not. Did it have some close games? Sure. Again, was it good football? I enjoy 1A and 2A football. I am not one of those people who bash on lower class football and think that 5A and 6A are the be all and end all. There have been so many great teams in 2A like Mater Dei, Luers, Eastside, LCC , etc… This year just was not one of those years. It happens
  22. I disagree. If you didn’t see LCC vs Luers in the semi-state from the beginning of the tourney not sure what to tell you. Please don’t even get me started on the South. There was quite a bit of banter amongst Luers and LCC fans how these were not even close to their best teams and they were shocked they got to semi-state, much less the winner going to state. Great year for North Posey, but all it took for me was to see one possession offensively for them to know they had zero chance against Luers and it would end up a blowout. Everyone knew from day 1 it would be Lutheran vs. Adams Central in 1A. No surprise there. Unlike some, I think Luers would beat both of them, but North Posey would get smoked by both teams 2A North was far superior to 2A South. Bluffton and Eastside were goodLCC was good as well. Top to bottom, 2A is better than 1A, but at the very top, 1A might be better
  23. Eastside the last few years yes, not this year. Bluffton has improved greatly the last few years, but I did not see them beating Luers this year, some others did though. Woodlan had some really good teams when Haydock was there, not so much after he left for Wayne. Churubusco was really good for a 5-10 year period and then the bottom fell out. Really interested to see who steps out of the shadows with Luers gone for at least 2 years. My money is on Eastside, Adams Central, and Bluffton until someone proves differently
