  1. South Bend Tribune article on Penn O-Lineman. Ryan Williams
  2. This site is meant to promote football. Yes the case involves a football coach, but with possible litigation, I agree it is best to cautious. We are a bunch of football junkies and many of us can't tell the difference between rumors and facts.
  3. Truth is for whatever reason many students are not going out for a variety of sports at a lot of schools. Some of it may be new family dynamics, school culture, etc.. Football is not the only sport, a lot of Baseball programs can not field a jv team anymore. It is really concerning to me. I don't think contraction is the best approach, I would rather give kids more opportunities, but if they aren't willing to participate, what are schools to do?
  4. Bremen has been dealing with lowering numbers for years. Give the staff credit, they coach up the kids that want to be out there.
  5. How many you have going out this year. Bremen 35ish.
  6. Bremen has around 35 kids out. Had a kid move to Laporte, had another make bad choices. They would of been contributors. The players that did come out are ready to compete. They are tough minded group with a chip on their shoulder. They will adapt and develop during the season, and being ready to make a real run at sectionals.
  7. Is there a paypal option?
  8. I am getting an error on the article. Sorry Rocket.
  9. South Central I guess could be re-explored. North Miami would be a good addition. You never know. Definitely interesting topic to think about.
  10. Who would be the first invited?
  11. I don't disagree with you here, however things change and the HNAC would not be a bad landing spot if conferences were to shake up again down the road.
  12. Bremen will always survey the conference landscape, and put there students in the best chance to compete and succeed. The NIC has positives and negatives, overall I think Bremen views it as a positive. Circumstances and situations change, school demographics are changing everywhere. When the NSC disbanded they were caught off guard, I don't expect that to happen again.
  13. Two things, joining the HNAC would not be slumming and never say never.
  14. Valley to 34 Wabash or Whitko to 35.
  15. Hmmmm, could be a positive change for Tippy Valley.
  16. I just now saw this...sorry for the late reply. I feel Bremen is doing just fine in the conference. Conference results are secondary to the post season and has always been that way. The NIC prepares the Lions for 2a in all sports. The travel is good, furthest games are 45 minutes away to Elkhart Central. Saying all that, some are concerned about the gate, some schools don't travel and bring in fans and that may be hurting the bottom line. I don't know, I am no way connected to that.
  17. How are workouts and 7 on 7 going for everyone?
  18. I am just seeing this. Thanks for reaching out. We wrapped up just prior to the 4th. Let me know about next year.
  19. Talked with someone at Bremen, was told that they are always assessing there conference situation, at the moment they will not be making a change, if a change were to happen it would be most likely a newly formed league and not a currently constructed league. He did not state what that new league would consist of. My takeaway, is they are cognizant of possible shifts occurring down the pipe, are happy where they stand, and if things shift they want to be prepared ahead of time. Not left out of the picture and have there hand forced like the collapse of the NSC left them prior. (Sorry to hijack the HNAC thread, but wanted to let you know what I heard)
  20. Pioneer is the furthest South.
  21. Google says it is 60 miles and 65 minutes.
  22. Any news on potential conference additions?
  23. My experience is that when conferences change it takes 2/3 years to adjust schedules and make a complete switch.
  24. I've been involved with education for 15 plus years as an educator. The stretch from spring break until the end of year always seems to bring anxiety, stress, worry, and change. This year from my own perspective seems to be magnified. Admin changes, teachers leaving, gossip is rampant. More and more friends to be saying enough is enough and walking away.
