Lutheran 43 Traders Point 6 Final

Speedway 0 Lutheran 37 Final Lutheran wins ICC outright.

There are 16 Missouri-Synod Lutheran churches in the Indianapolis area that support LuHi, 6 of them with elementary schools. Four of the elementary schools on the south side (Calvary, St. John, Trinity, Zion) are the primary feeder schools. Our Shepherd on the west side and Holy Cross-Geist in the northeast are a bit of a hike, but do provide a few students. Missouri-Synod Lutherans don't have a CYO equivalent program by congregation/parish. Like the Lutheran schools in Ft. Wayne, there is a single football feeder program for kids from from the elementary schools. Unlike the Holy Cross program in Ft. Wayne, the Indy Lutheran Jr. Saints are open to any interested elementary school players from 1st-8th grade. The majority of the kids who enter the LuHi football team from non-Lutheran schools come through the Jr. Saints. However, after 14 seasons the retention of 7th/8th graders as freshmen still averages below 50%. There have been several contributors on nearby public school rosters who came through the program.

1A North Semi-State LCC v Adams Central

No one actually affiliated with Indy Lutheran. If you've seen your team come up one game short four out of the last five years, you don't say much of anything. -
BEST QB IN THE STATE?
kdets89 replied to Martinsville Fan's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Logan had a great season, and should be proud of how productive he and his receivers were this year. That said, he probably isn't getting any real attention from scholarship programs due to his size and arm strength. If he has his heart set on playing after high school, he should take advantage of whatever academic money he has earned and play for whichever D3 program offers the degree program that interests him. He should know going in that even at a D3 program, there's only one QB on the field and competition for snaps is tough. The list of Indiana 1A players who've actually taken snaps at the QB position at any level of college football over the past 15 years is pretty short. -
Significant improvements have been made to the Lutheran facilities over the past few years. This season visitors bleachers were added to the opposite side of the field. They aren't very deep due to the property line, but they extend between the 20s. We haven't had anyone exceed capacity yet this season.

WRC Sectional Round 1
kdets89 replied to Tanka Jahari's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
1st Rd - bye, 2nd Rd close game with Indiana Deaf (13-12). Blind draw had four highest Sagarin-rated teams in the sectional on the other side of the bracket. -
3A Regional - Bishop Chatard at Concordia

Field is grass, and historically would be pretty torn up by this time of year. I doubt that Dwenger playing at their own place has made much difference, as the junior high teams still use it during the weekend. Seating should not be an issue. Plenty of capacity on both sides, with visitors in the east bleachers. -

https://www.acmebargrillmenu.com Don't think chili is an option at the Acme, but the tenderloin is so good you won't miss it. -

Great pregame dinner option is The Acme Bar & Grill on East State St., minutes from Concordia. Smoked wings are terrific, and they have the best breaded tenderloin in the state. -
HUDL Sideline vs Heaters
kdets89 replied to irishuncle411's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I've watched four regional/semi-state games in the last few years in which one team had sideline heaters and the other didn't. The team without heaters won every game. -
Hoosier Conference 2019

Use the 5608 Whitestown Parkway address. That will take you to the 2nd entrance west of the Indianapolis Rd. roundabout, which is closest to the football field. If you arrive early, you'll be able to park in the lot next to the field, just not in the row closest to the field. A few of us were asked to move our cars in week 9, as those are "parking pass" spots for tailgaters. If you don't arrive early enough to park in this lot, you'll be directed to the east side of the new high school building, which is a hike to the entrance of the football field. Beautiful facility. Probably not enough space on the visitors side for an LCC crowd, but there should be extra space on the home side. There's also a hill just beyond the north endzone the would provide extra seating for chairs/blankets. Not much space around the field for camera equipment. Visiting staff will just have to be resourceful. We don't have a big tripod, so we were able to film from the hill in the north end. You can film from the south end, but it's tight, and TP has some maintenance equipment in the way. May not get great angles, but there's space to film from the corners. -
John Madden would be proud of this in-depth analysis. BOOM.
