Thanks for the explanation. I guess I have not seen or don’t recall those conversations taking place.

@Temptation I admit I am confused by your opening line about these guys not listening to the experts on this board????? Has someone posted negative comments about track? Multi sport athletes? Or is there a topic somewhere you are referring to? Not trying to stir the pot, I genuinely do not understand the reasoning behind the comment.

2020 Dead Pool/Watch

I thought it was a hoax at first, but it does not appear to be. https://nypost.com/2020/01/26/kobe-bryant-reportedly-killed-in-california-helicopter-crash/ -
A Little Interesting

I found this to be an inspiration. https://thesiouxfallsheadliner.com/2020/01/23/local-man-arrested-after-blaring-benny-hill-song-near-people-slipping-on-ice/?fbclid=IwAR1hm7iDAVCKK2rcEOnPBjhbW9NpmtOaG9f8wBy9lZuVNPk7lM7dIFxr15M- 64 replies

Looking at the list also explains why TVLand can play so many episodes a day of Gunsmoke lol 635 episodes. I wonder how many characters were killed over the course of 20 years? 🤔

That was one of my favorites growing up as well.

It was fun to see the spin-off conversations too. (See what I did there? 🤣) One was the changes as shows progressed. Just one example....My Three Sons....Beau Bridges was a regular on the original show, and there was an older brother, Mike that disappeared as the boys grew up. Set changes were part of the conversation as well. Fun times.

This was a fun topic at lunch today......longest running TV shows. It is an interesting list to look at. And for many that we grew up watching, some did not seem like they were on that long, and some at the opposite end, seemed short. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_longest-running_scripted_U.S._primetime_television_series

It seems the coach still being on suspension with no apparent end in sight may have disrupted the locker room.

Packers could not have had a worse start. I am not at all surprised. The offensive game plan was ok with play action and bootlegs to minimize the pass rush, but as has happened in the past, Rodgers holds the ball too long. They are getting whipped in all three phases of the game, and are on the verge of being embarrassed.

I would agree IO. It is amazing just how much she looks like Tina Fey. -

Survive and advance, right? lol I was certain they lost after that next to last drive stalled and the punt was bad. The 3 and out after the last Seattle score really put them in a bind. But that has been the storyline all season. A A Ron needs to get the ball out quick next week. He cannot press the ball down field looking for the home run shot so much. Take what they give and keep the chains moving.

great game, feel horrible for the Dukes QB.....2 years in a row to finish a game with a pick.
-
I would agree to an extent. I believe the B1G has rules that really restrict transfers within the conference. I know for certain they did just a few years ago. Maybe the setup of this portal changed them? I would add that IU has been a decent place to find o linemen over the years.

Without question. I still talk with other coaches about Van Gorder’s clinic presentation on 3rd down pressures. I remember looking at other coaches 5 minutes into it and asking....did I miss something? Was there a prerequisite for this topic? The number of coaches who had the same look was very noticeable. It was a complete waste of time. He could have done the presentation in French and I would have had the same level of understanding. The level of complication was unimaginable.......and mostly unnecessary in my mind. Coaches that make things THAT complicated are more focused on their egos than they are about the players.

As far as the play clock goes though, once it hits 00, there is still .99 seconds left. The NBA added the red light around the backboard to light up because there is that delay. Maybe something similar could be used in football? A red light that borders the play clock could go on when the time is actually 0.00?

My last game was Favre’s last win as a Packer.....against the Seahawks in the same round they are in now. It was the perfect night to see the game; had a blast tailgating, driving snow, playoff football, and a Packers win.

A little distraction during the bye week. My cousin bought me a Packers puzzle that is killing me. It is a Scramble Squares puzzle. It is just 9 pieces. There is an image on each edge. All the edges have to match exactly. I included a link that has an image. I have to say, I love puzzles, but this one has me pissed off.....to the point I searched online for solutions. With ALL the technology and so many “cheats” to anything we can imagine, there is NOT a single one out there for this puzzle. My OCD is in hyper drive now. Anyone have this puzzle? Anyone solve it yet? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Scramble-Squares-Green-Bay-Packers-NFL-9-Piece-Puzzle-/254274656038

Starting a new decade like they did the previous two........still searching for a trademark win. They come close so often, but can never seem to finish. Great call on the onside kick by Tennessee though. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Getting another FG followed by a 3 and out by the defense is YUUUUUGE; bigly even. 🙂
-
IU offense has adjusted well in the 2nd half. Adding Ramsey to the run game has been huge. But he is also finding open targets and making some solid throws. The pick 6 is looming large for the Hoosiers at this point.
-
IU is hanging around. They are dangerous team to keep in the game. Tennessee can move the ball easily from 10 to 10, and should be up big. IU playing the bend but don’t break mindset on defense has served them well. But they have to play better in the 2nd half.
