  1. It’s been on the market a few times.
  2. I agree...As I read it "during your first 6 semesters" could very well mean before the end of the school year your junior year. So whatever date your school year ends, then time is up. Note: I am not saying that is how I read it, but that some could read it that way.
  3. Find a coach that can get that level of talent to play with that effort and energy on a more consistent basis, and that team would be a real threat. At the very least, get them to play where the drop off from a game like today is not a complete dumpster fire, but just slightly off of it. At least then most of their games would be competitive.
  4. Lord willing....praying for you my friend.
  5. I would tend to agree. But UCLA basketball seems to be different. They turned quickly on Alford.
  6. To the point I think at times, I could have been a detective. 😄 Piecing things together at times has been a challenge, but it has been fun too.
  7. I am seeing Nick Cronin's name thrown out there and it makes me wonder, is IU REALLY more of a destination than UCLA? I love Bloomington, but he is in LA. I would place UCLA higher up on the historic program level than IU. I would add that I don't trust Cronin. He had issues when he was at Cincy
  8. Good catch.....I fixed it. Hammy and Rocket3118 were the same dude.
  9. RB Coach Deland McCullough is going to the Raiders. I had the chance to chat with him during a recruiting visit when he was still at Miami (OH). Great coach and great man. he has one of the more interesting stories about meeting his biological father. Look it up if you get a moment.
  10. I remember several years ago, the exact same question came up with Nebraska football. Is Nebraska a great program or was Osborne a great coach? But IU does have history prior to Knight. He just took it to another level. And, no disrespect to Davis, but the 01 team was Knight's team. Davis was smart enough to 'let it ride'.
  11. The Eagles have continued to dominate. Very impressive
  12. Texted one of my brother before the snap on the pick 6 when Mahomes was sacked twice that this could get out of hand. Eagles defense is dominating. They are getting to Mahomes with just a 4 man rush.
  13. After the replays, I am ok with the call. The push looked to knock the DB off balance and create separation for the catch. To be honest, Brady complaining as a guy who is used to getting calls like that is funny. Now, for a missed call, I thought there was a clear push in the back on that 3rd and long for the Chiefs on the guy who was closest to Mahomes when he threw it.
  14. As many like to say, follow the money. Some things to keep in mind as well: Multiple elected officials are looking to ease current laws regarding teenagers having jobs. Multiple States are looking at that as well. Arkansas passed a similar bill 2 years ago. The new graduation requirements dramatically increase the requirements regarding internships (free labor) for high school students. We have 1 intern coordinator in our building and she struggles to find places that will take interns here in Fort Wayne. Now the responsibility will fall to her to find placements for so many more. There are currently about 200 students in the program now. The high school has 1,100 students. So at some point, she will have to find something for most of them. One thing I forgot to add in my last post. The new State test is the SAT. Funny how a former person on the college board payroll to the tune of $100K per year is the speaker of the house in Indiana. The law requires that 95% of all juniors take the test. So, in our building the sped population is significant enough that our teachers of record and admins have to decide which students to throw under the bus and take the test, knowing they should not be. And people think it's the schools failing our students.

  16. Here's the issue with your take on accountability. The Statehouse refuses to hold voucher and charter schools accountable in any way. A charter school turns in false enrollment numbers, they get excused. State Board of Accounts calls into question the spending of a charter school, but the President of the company running it refuses to comply. The State recently tried to submit a bill that would set a max on administration salaries at 15% of the money the district gets from the State. What they found is less than a handful of districts would not be in compliance, so it was dropped. They also left out charter and private schools getting vouchers from that bill as they often do. Turned out that the charters in Allen county were all over 20% going to admins. One charter had 54% of the money they got going to admins. Keep in mind this is money that goes to the classroom and teacher salaries. No accountability there though. Voucher and charter schools can and do discriminate when admitting students. They get to choose who gets in and who stays. They get to set standards for students to remain in the school that they do not allow public schools to set. I saw a post with the recent outbreaks that a person posted please keep your kids home if they are sick, but 2 different replies said their own children who all get vouchers can only miss so many days in a year or they are asked to leave the school. Where's the accountability for that? When it comes to State testing, you know everyone loves to talk about how far behind kids are, BUT legislators allow charter and voucher schools to choose either growth or proficiency to be the key factor in school scores. Public schools are forced to use proficiency.....some accountability, huh? Just a few years ago, after courts had ordered that multiple charter school operators owed over $100 Million back to the State, the leaders in the Statehouse voted to excuse that debt. Accountability? Want public school accountability? Run for school board. What is taught in schools, even with the State Board of Education develops the standards for each subject, is still controlled locally. The budget for every district is completely open to the State and there is a multi step process to get anything approved in the budget. Also, ask your sped teachers what will happen when the DOE is eliminated. To think all that money comes back to the States is a pipe dream at best. But what about States like W. VA, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana who relay far more heavily on federal funding?
  17. Venturing a bit off topic lately.... but no one can point to a single bill passed in Indiana since January of 2009 that has been for the benefit of public school students. Make no mistake, the demise, the concept that they are failing (take a look into special education waivers and how legislators have intentionally made the far more difficult to get), the problems facing public schools and the challenges thrown at them....have all been intentional. This transfer bill is no different. A couple things to watch for this session; what the Governor has touted as property tax relief will be extremely costly to most school districts. He also plans to remove the cap from vouchers. So any family of any income level will be eligible. Meanwhile, pre-k and other programs for early education have long waiting lists and strict income requirements. Current poverty level for a single parent with 3 children (save the judgment) is $25,820. So a parent over that limit is NOT eligible for a program like Head Start, but a household of 4 making $220,000 is eligible for a voucher. Regardless of your typical political beliefs, only one party has been in charge in Indiana going back to Daniels taking office in 2005. Bottom line is the more these legislators have gotten involved, the less local control there is and the more problems they create. Again, this transfer bill is just one of many to create more problems.
  18. Longer video of the conversation between Shannon and Sterling.
  19. I cannot love this enough. What makes it even better is hearing Shannon’s HOF acceptance speech. https://fb.watch/xBP470aeTz/? This is a great video too https://fb.watch/xBP9ZC-IoJ/?
  20. Absolute gold here. Hard to not root for this guy. https://fb.watch/xBO2utthxB/? Here is the twitter version as some without profiles on either may not be able to view it on Facebook.
