  1. Latest rankings are out. Top heavy with SEC teams. With Texas in the mix, it might get interesting. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/ap-top-25-poll-texas-jumps-ohio-state-as-sec-makes-history-in-college-football-rankings/
  2. Based on previous college football seasons, enough teams in the teens will have a loss that drops them. There are a lot of teams from the SEC in the top 10. Once they start playing each other, those rankings will shake up. The B1G has 4 teams in the top 12. ND SHOULD not have another loss. Being at 18, it's not unrealistic that they are flirting with a 12th place ranking. I am not saying they deserve to, even 10 -12 weeks from now, this loss will keep me from saying they should be in no matter how well they play the rest of the way.
  3. I figured 20th would be the highest they should have been ranked.
  4. Failed fishing trips.......they now run the risk of losing guys. What's the message to them after putting in so much effort to get them in the program? That said, 63% of the 68 power conference starting QB's are transfers, so it's a more common practice. Nothing to lose at this point though, so try one of the other guys.
  5. So many bad plays......all around today, and the trend continues of embarrassing home upsets by teams that should have been put away. Seeing comments, most of the focus is on the offense. I want to focus on the defense. I have felt as long as he has been there that Golden's defense has had issues. The scheme is flawed. It also looks like they make zero adjustments to address something, or someone who has been beating the defense. They make 2 or 3 good plays every set of 4 downs, but continually give up one play that keeps a drive alive. Way too many open receivers; the QB was able to escape and gain yards. And why Golden continually blitzes a safety who NEVER gets to the QB is beyond me. I almost forgot to add bad tackling and missed tackling was a problem as well.
  6. The Sphere is unreal.......I cannot even do it justice with a post here; incredible experience.
  7. Speaking of renovations....this just seems wrong lol
  8. lololol Remember the exchange from Marley and Me, when Sebastian asks why is that funny? Sebastian says "I am just very immature". Seemed like the appropriate line to preface this:
  9. Pretty cool
  10. A high school friend of mine loves to post often about Notre Dame being overrated. While there are times they have been, I cannot think of another program that is as consistently overrated as Florida State. They were still ranked 10th after the loss to Georgia Tech. And them being overrated goes back to the Bowden era. On a similar note, did anyone notice the number of empty seats last night? It looked like an IU crowd.
  11. I was texting an older brother during the game about how Kelly's teams never won big games. I made the comment that even at ND, he was always blaming someone else.
  12. Yeah, I choked up a bit. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/yGeA1qp28g6nKene/
  13. Nice road win…..way too many penalties and missed tackles on defense, but made some huge plays when needed. Offense was out of sync most of the night, but a young o line will get better.
  14. And probably have some of the coolest campuses in the Nation. One of my nieces just graduated from Montana State. While I never did visit her, the campus looks really cool. Her apartment had a great view of the mountains.
  15. Packers trim the roster, and AJ Dillon has been injured with a stinger, and not designated to return is tough to take. That said, I am pretty sure I was saying keep Jones and move Dillon. Loved them both, but if this was an either or spot.....go with Jones. I am surprised to see Toure on this list. I really thought he was developing into a solid role player. Newman needed to go. he was a liability in the 9ers game. I was a fan of Sean Clifford as a back up QB as well, but understand that backups travel often. here is the link to the full team by team article https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41002911/nfl-cuts-tracker-2024-live-roster-updates-all-32-teams
  16. Cut day....teams trim rosters to the 53 man roster. Team by team moves....I am always interested in seeing this list each season with the number of veteran players that teams let go. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41002911/nfl-cuts-tracker-2024-live-roster-updates-all-32-teams
  17. Classic!
  18. That is correct; if the ball did cross in this instance, it's the momentum of the kick that got it there. As stated earlier, in the high school game, when it comes to kicks and the goal line, it's where the ball is when touched, whereas college and pros it's where the player is when they touch it.
  19. The ball first hit the field about 3 feet to his left
  20. Colorado better have a GREAT season for that move to happen. he has building up to do after last season spiraled down the drain.
  21. Had not considered the officials thought it touched him. The beanbag was thrown immediately, but the video quality is not good enough to see if it did touch. I would say the returner did not react like a player would if it had touched him. That said, the ball still crossed the plane of the goal line, before the Westfield player batted it back. And I still think it should have been CG's ball on the 20.
  22. Fantastic game and finish to start the season as number 10 FSU goes down to Ga. Tech.
