  1. Total numbers per sport. I could not find a breakdown by division
  2. Not surprised in the least bit. My question is why in the HELL are D3 players entering the portal at all?
  3. The SAC is the only one I know of that does that. The NHC did not, and the NE 8 does not.
  4. I will always think of this when I see or hear Johns Hopkins
  5. Don't forget too that the SAC splits the gate. That has been an issue for some time as well.
  6. Hilarious
  7. Pretty cool new tradition. Great job Abbey
  8. My initial reaction as well, but seeing people post some specific details, it is a more understandable move. Not going to attack the kid, but it sounds like he learned a lot of behaviors from his father unfortunately.
  9. This has likely been posted here before, but still.......dayum!
  10. And here I was thinkin this was about the BBall tourney stretching to 76 teams. 🤣 There is a connection here.......in this era of NIL and the portal, There are fewer upsets......in both football and basketball. I have long said 16 for playoffs and no more. @PDB26 You bring up some great points to argue against it. But the one thing I do believe a 16 team field would have done the last two years, even with the janky system for the byes in year 1, is there would be no one who could argue they deserved to be in. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much time is wasted in both basketball and football about who did not get in and why they should have. Sure only a few teams are legitimate contenders, but I would prefer to hear/read conversations about the matchups themselves. As far as the basketball expansion; my impression is the NCAA is taking the Roger Gooddell approach....how can we take a great thing and F**K it up as much as we possibly can?
  11. Fun to watch, but as any Cubs fan knows, we are always waiting for the crash to reality. 🙂 But this is pretty cool. On a side note, that scoreboard is the one that sits higher up in center field today.
  12. As with any changes on this level, it's the unintended consequences that come up along the way. Further changes at this point.....lawsuit. And schools and the IHSAA will settle at every opportunity to do so.
  13. How bad is it when the team is better off just cutting you rather than trading? I get it's likely no one bit on any trade offers, but damn; adjust what you are askingfor in return???
  14. Only 364 light days away from a light year.
  15. yep.... Wayne is in 5A now though. It might be good for players to see what top teams look like....up close
  16. What I appreciate most from Ted is his love for classic cinema; the movies and even the cartoons. He owned the early Warner Brothers cartoons; ones you would see on weekday cartoon shows occasionally but not on Saturdays.....as well as some of the more objectionable ones like the WWII ones making fun of the nazis and the Japanese. But the Turner Classic Movies channel is one I tune into often. It's only been a few years since I really started watching and grew in appreciation of them. Turner's efforts to preserve the old movies was significant.
  17. Could also be a ripple effect......Riley plays Valpo week 2 this year, who place Rice from Chicago last year. Two teams closer to each other deciding to play instead of travel?
  18. Wayne played SB Riley last year, but on harrell's site Edited the last part, a schedule shows up when I went back to the main page and clicked on the school.
  19. More than likely only teams in 5A and/or 6A with that week open? That is my first thought. Timing of when the opening came to be for both programs factors into it as well.
  20. The coaches have spoken. Not a fan of 24 teams though.
  21. Interesting move......they now have a 2nd qb who is a different type of player than Love. Why get a player that is quite a bit different than your starter and never use him until the starter is injured? Just seems they could have had packages set for Willis. He had proven to be a solid weapon and a change of pace, especially as teams started coming back on them late in games. Maybe LaFleur will figure something out with Tyrod? My confidence is not high.
  22. Happy Lee Elia Day sports fans!!!!
