The 6 game suspension was an arbitrator's ruling. I saw this from today: Again, I believe the sticking point for the case is zero indictments. "NFL is appealing for an indefinite suspension that would be a minimum of one year. But perhaps more significant given the structure of Watson's contract, source tells me the NFL's appeal will also include a monetary fine. Money is now a significant part of the equation."

My views are based on the way politicians are voting on the matter. I have no doubt that if the Kansas legislators had the level of control over referendums that Indiana legislators do, that this would not have been a ballot issue. That said, it should serve as a wake up call.

As ugly and unseemly as it all is, and everyone involved is dirty…the owners/front office people (especially in Houston), the escor….ooops, massage “therapists”, and of course, Watson himself. The critical piece in all of this is the two occasions that prosecutors tried charging him, and failed to bring a single charge. Something like 45 witnesses testified before the grand jury, and ZERO indictments. So what do you do if you are the NFL? This is likely the most they could do. Maybe an additional game or two? They probably wanted to avoid an appeal as well. Watson got off easy in so many ways (see what I did there? 😂😎) in this whole thing. Not sure if he will appeal this or not, stupid move if he does.

The positive about 69 is they played most of the season last season without him. But I really hope he can make it back.

Proposal pictures for Soldier Field have been leaked. The current rendition is just goofy....and honestly, it's poorly done, even on the inside. While I have not seen a football game there, I was there for a concert several years ago. I sat about midfield on the side, where the suites are in the top level. I was only 20 rows up, but the overhang from the level above us created an obstructed view. Not only was the view overhead limited, but I could only see a small part of the video screen. In this proposal, it does not look like they do much to fix the sight lines I mentioned. I think it is a much better look on the outside than what we currently see. So, Bears fans, what do you think?
