  1. Eastside is running the clock out. Clutch, big time, good coaching calls. If Luers comes back it will be due to a major mistake or big play.
  2. Luers, with all due respect, really needs to put the kids in a position to win. East side 13- Luers 6 mid 4th. No safety , burned. Up 6-0, threw an obvious to everyone pass that was a pick 6z. Should have run the ball. Whatever.
  3. Had a derecho in Fort Wayne a few years ago...got to see the back of a Wal-Mart. They do not keep much stock at all!
  4. I've only had a few psych and soc classes, but I'm pretty sure you guys just have opinions and not mentalities.
  5. I certainly would like to see a better angle. To each his own opinion, but yours is the only one that counts. I saw a guy lunge forward and make a tackle nearly from his knees, not sure how that is lifting up a QB, but maybe I have rose colored glasses and didn't see it clearly.
  6. Some truth, some laughable. Do either of you work in schools?
  7. Luers 3. Central Noble 0 Middle 2 this place is a library. Yucca needs to look at that roughing the passer. I know, Bob, it was a good call.
  8. I teach at a school that is having a pretty bad year. The players that I personally know in my class do not just go through the motions. You're nuts. I've played on and coached some good and bad teams and we tried our best each and every time (various sports). One of the bigger reasons for score disparities is due to the offenses that are quick strike as compared to days of yore.
  9. I’m not stupid and a lopsided series is understandable. I have taught in the Fort Wayne area for years, grew up where many of Snider’s best from the 80’s, 90’s, and today grew up and actually attended Snider. Heck, some of my friends teach there now. Snider is at least 3 times bigger than Luers, if not 4. They, like most FW schools, have kids from most all FW zip codes. That Woodson camp was the greatest recruiting tool Ever, period!
  10. nstead of the popular flat multiplier for all sports, the OHSAA proposal uses multipliers of two (football), five (basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball) or six (soccer). It will also be applied to public schools with open enrollment.
  11. Zero boundaries? Sounds familiar. If a multiplier comes in, you bet your bippy recruiting will be ugly. I haven't worked for East Allen for several years, but when Harding was reimagined, the other 4 schools would put on their recruiting hats when they went to have their talk with the Junior High kids. There are coaches on here who do teach for EACS, but I think they'll stay mum on this. Maybe they all go to New Haven now anyhow.
  12. Since Rod Woodson's camp has gone, it hasn't been the same. With forced bussing in Fort Wayne, kids really do come from far away.
  13. But we all know that's not the reason you bring it up. You could care a whole lot more that the enrollments are different. Equity on the playing field just isn't going to come because the games are not set up to be a social experiment, but a real-life competition.
