  1. Not sure how the pay is now, but when I interviewed in FWSB Diocese it was way behind the central and southern part of the state. I was well prepared to work outside of school hours. Unfortunately, my wife left me, which means that I'm unworthy to teach in a Catholic school because I haven't appealed to Rome (I think it's more of a local appeal now). Other wealthy parishioners leave their wives often, remarry, make appeals and still take communion, but who am I to judge? 🙂
  2. Manchester has a lot of homemade and locally source products. Phenomenal!
  3. I was thinking about after the game...my bad. Fazoli's?? Any restaurant would love to have that phone call. Not hard to put together.
  4. I know first hand gruel wasn't on the menu. I did wonder why they seemed to buy everything prepackaged to be warmed up when they have a pretty state of the art kitchen. I've worked at schools with other demographics and I never stereotyped the food to be served be it mostly African-American Paul Harding area (now Burmese dominant), country Woodlan, or African-American/Hispanic Elkhart or Hispanic Frankfort. I did once ask for a rice steamer for the new kids from Burma, but the happy medium was for them to sneak into the foods classroom to warm it up in the microwaves. Eventually, the bilingual aid started making rice every day since it was such a hard thing for the food service to do. Neither of us teach there anymore, so not sure what their little brothers and sisters do.
  5. But a couple of phone calls can do wonders for a restaurant that can get some broasted chicken together. 🙂
  6. I was hoping it wasn't based on Frankfort's demographics.
  7. Why would that be? Are you basing that on stereotype, race, or demographics?
  8. That's okay. I'm just throwing it into the tuition variances in differing parts of the state and why P/P kids are different than anyone else. Uttering nonsense.
  9. I just find it interesting how the bishopric magically pays much more in Evansville than in the diocese with that golden shiny thing hanging around.
  10. And, important factor, you pay teachers much better...magically, in Evansville!
  11. Dwenger reminds me of those teams that my dad used to drag me to watch in the 1970s or 1980s. I was bored to death. Then boom, they pull some %&$* out and they are fun to watch. What if their OC was at Luers? 🙂
  12. About why you left...nothing mean here.
  13. Yes, I think that is my favorite pizza around. I like to have the pepperoni, the old way. Love me some Greek pizza. I almost always go to LOS. That, I really do enjoy.
  14. Ummm. Did anybody ask...?
  15. I ran into an long in the tooth retired Luers' teacher the other night. He said, among other things, that the school should have moved years ago when given the chance (somewhere where they could have gotten more of the St. Elizabeth kids), the enrollment will shrivel, and that (Retracted). 🙂
  16. When my kids went to NorthWood, they had a great Media program.
  17. This week will probably be Concordia, Dwenger, and Homestead. Not sure if RIver Bend Pizza, Lexy's Grinders, or Mama Mia's.
  18. So what's your beef with the publics in the IHSAA?
  19. where I'd never miss a game. Now, thinking about staying home and watching youtube on the TV on Friday. What's wrong with me?
  20. The IHSAA is not a group of public schools.
