  1. It reminds me of the summer where people were on here going back and forth about what was acceptable, at that time, with what equipment and then the next day one of the yellow and black teams was in the newspaper sporting what was exactly reported to be outside the lines at their summer retreat. 🙂 Some teams do what they want when they want how they want and get mad about it if caught. Some do the right thing and we'll never know who they are.
  2. 64 Woodlan 525 With Woodlan getting a new coach do you think players migrate back to New Haven or are they all homegrown? I'm way out of the loop to know anymore how it goes in EACS? There are lots of EACS guys on here. Also, would the world we live in change school enrollments enough to shake things up on these fringes?
  3. I think Dwenger is the opposite and pays a price.
  4. I think it was in December when you started using the "consolidation is contraction" line. I don't think it was your original thought.
  5. That was a fun one to watch.
  6. Things like this are extremely difficult to digest. Sincere condolences.
  7. I'm sorry, I can not edit. She was a member. Again, zero aggression seen from you. I was born in 1971 you Ephing Turd from Ephingham. Excuse my naval-gazing. "Zero Aggression Principle": A libertarian is a person who believes that no one has the right, under any circumstances, to initiate force against another human being for any reason whatever; nor will a libertarian advocate the initiation of force, or delegate it to anyone else. Those who act consistently with this principle are libertarians, whether they realize it or not. Those who fail to act consistently with it are not libertarians, regardless of what they may claim. — L. Neil Smith
  8. I'm not really a libertarian, I'm an independent thinker. My grandmother was a libertarian, my grandfather an independent and both parents independents. I'm a Catholic by birth, Mennonite by choice (pacifist), and aware of other religious, political, economic, and social teachings. I have friends on every continent, apart from the polar one (that I can think of) and genuinely try to think of the world as my home. Now, I'm going to try to ignore the threads that I may be a part of dragging on and on.
  9. Usually libertarians don't want to hurt people and don't want to take things from people.
  10. That 2012 team Luers team was fun to watch. 3 losses on the field, one to Snider and two to two very good Ohio schools. https://www.hudl.com/video/2/32745/5721a2c390eead5d90871cca 11 state championship coaches video https://www.hudl.com/video/2/32745/5721a5870c5e6812245fb141
  11. I liked the Luers-Tri-West game at the time. https://www.hudl.com/video/2/32745/5721a46a0c5e6812245d0f1e
  12. I just go with the flow. I don't think contraction is needed. Kids want to represent their schools. Let the kids be kids.
  13. You can take some history courses, too. Of course, you might want to take them at a private university. Nobody's work is diminished. He does very good things and doesn't horde his ideas, nor his wealth, so it seems. My parents never told me the world wasn't fair. They told me to do the best I can, visit the world, do what I would like to do, be kind, and to be respectful....among other things. Absolutely, one should choose. But in a capitalistic society, one has to play within the capitalistic rules set up by that government. Some say China is communist, some say socialist, some say fascist, but there is a lot of capitalism happening in their ranks. I think large churches are communist or socialist, but you don't see their members saying that, but when members need help, the churches shut their doors more often than not. Small, local churches help until it hurts. Simple observations. As usual, we're more alike than we're different, we just have different ways of perceiving things and communicating. i'm not deriding as much as stating that they are controlling/monopolistic, the antithesis of capitalism. From living in Latin America, I can tell you that from my experience and perspective, the racism, sexism, classism, and other isms are worse. I'm not sure about Asia, but here that they could be.
  14. I'm thinking more of the generational wealthy and royalty and the large churches of the world. I am by no means putting anyone down who works hard. I know a few-- trust fund babies who work very hard. Simply ignore.
  15. Nope, I've studied it extensively. They often inherited it or were in the right place at the right time. I'm not demanding they share anything with me. I'm telling you that very few families, and even churches, have controlled the world for a long time. It's changing slowly, but surely. As the white population shrinks across the world, things will change tremendously. I'm not asking you to believe me, but you can certainly research it from good, sound institutions, not places with an agenda. I suppose I'm thinking power/wealth together.
  16. Nope, not you! I need to make sure I get my quotes in correctly. The science is fairly clear. You can be what you want to be.
  17. I'm not sold on too much of that. The fault often lies on the fact that a few families accumulate wealth and make it difficult for the rest of us. Evolution isn't as exact as you two are making it out, but you'd have to explore that more. As usual, we're all human and investigate and buy into what pleases us at whatever place in life we happen to be.
  18. The lack of social mobility has a lot to do with it, but you can look at it how you'd like. You can see this, positively and negatively, in societies the world over. Survival of the fittest, more like learning to be the best, or at least better than the next person.
  19. Interesting. What ism do you want? capitalism, socialism, communism, fascism
  20. As a person who has taught in 3 different countries, my perspective is if you remove the government, the poor will suffer even more than they do now. I do think schools should be governed, but as locally as possible.
