  1. That team that beat Ben Davis with that freeze option was really good, too (1992). Not gonna put up too many points against better defenses, but incredibly fun to watch. I think Luers beat or tied them in the jamboree, but Luers lost a tight one to Dwenger that year. The SAC was really good that year.
  2. I thought the comments were incredibly interesting and candid. It is fun to watch the experts. The few things that I'm an expert at I can simplify down to easy chunks. You and Coach Ralph do a great job of chunking the information down. No wonder why you are hard to beat. I don't know what keeps some guys at high schools, but high schools are blessed. I've been around some tremendous coaches in my life from having attended Luers and Snider and teaching in the state. My hat is off to you. I was talking with another member here and that has to be one of Snider's better offensive teams ever.
  3. How was the crowd? I have friends in Altadena and they talk about the big difference from Mishawaka and their new high school as far as school athletic support.
  4. I don't get anything if I scroll over. However, thank you, and Go Bulldogs!
  5. That was me.. OOPS! Northeast Indiana. I was going to put FW area, but changed it and have three teenagers rowdying up and making noise in the area. I can't edit, but maybe one of the bosses will.
  6. I was thinking of that. I'm going to sound a bit old, but when I was a youngster Bud and Jim.....blah blah blah. 🙂 I didn't really take a good look. It's the same ol', same ol', really! Not even a write in.

  9. I've been corrected on another post...The Eastbrook is beef. Yuccaguy. I wonder where I had that delicious sausage!!!???? From another post.. They changed from Ribeye to a Strip Steak for the sandwich this year. Excellent fare for a high school football game. Justin Kenny??? Is that the writer?
  10. I wonder why my mind remembers a sausage at Eastbrook...was that somewhere else? It must have been a ribeye. The games were blowouts, so I don't remember much....:( I found this nugget: They changed from Ribeye to a Strip Steak for the sandwich this year. Excellent fare for a high school football game.
  11. I need to reread the articles and take it all in. Since I'm a fan and teacher at small schools, I've been to many of the smaller schools in the area. If I'm going off of fatboy food, but my favorite is Eastbrook sausage, Woodlan donuts, and I think Goshen High School was very good. Now that I'm on a super diet, I try to stay away from those things. 🙂

  16. https://outsidethehuddle.net/2020/05/03/oth-football-field-countdown-no-5-leo-lions-field/ No Dr. Brown quotes?
  17. https://outsidethehuddle.net/2020/05/02/oth-football-field-countdown-no-6-dean-gorsuch-athletic-facility/ Great field. The team should be getting better. The stadium is getting an upgrade soon. https://wpta21.com/2020/03/17/carroll-begins-23-million-facility-upgrades-including-new-football-stadium/
  18. Terrific Place https://outsidethehuddle.net/2020/05/01/oth-football-field-countdown-no-7-memorial-field/
  19. You're right. Spuller isn't that bad. I What I don't like are early season games where the cement releases the heat. If you park by the buses, there is a ticket booth over there...at least the last time I parked by the busses. I spelled it both ways! The bathrooms are good. The concessions are good for both schools. The bands are good! If Yucca is refereeing, he'll pull for the underdog! Yes, don't be a Dodger crowd or you miss the first half. Luers usually gets drilled by Snider and plays Northrop closely.
  20. When I taught up in LaGrange county, there was a kid there named Fenway Park.
