Martinsville 27 Bloomington South 14 (final)
Well deserved win for the Arties. Martinsville was more fundamentally sound and more disciplined than South in this game, especially in the first half, and didn't turn the ball over in the game although South had a couple of chances on picks but couldn't pull them in. South just kept hurting themselves on major penalties and on a couple of ill-timed picks. The Panthers played better in the second half outscoring the Arties 7-6 in that half, but they had to do better than that to pull this game out. The Arties QB Adkins was the better of the two QBs used by South and was more efficient in the passing game. South's running back Gavin Adams, who had a big game last week running the ball against New Albany, also had a big game and was well over 100 yards in this game, but most of his yardage came between the 20-yard lines.
