  1. Bloomington South 14 Bloomington North 10 (half) North kicked a 20 yard FG with 3 seconds left in the half to tightened the game up. South was driving into North territory when they threw a pick that was returned to the South 36 yard line which resulted in the FG by North. South has dominated the time of possession and the stats in this game but are only up by four points at the half. South receives the ball when the 2nd half starts.
  2. Bloomington South 14 Bloomington North 7 (3:30, 2nd) South scored on a short run by Che Hogue. South had a little luck on their side when a pass looked like it was going to be intercepted was instead tipped to a receiver. South had a previous drive that died at the North 15 yard line on downs.
  3. Bloomington South 7 Bloomington North 7 (end of 1st) South will have the ball deep into North territory at the start of the 2nd. South has yet to throw a pass in this game, picking up big chunks of yardage on the ground.
  4. Bloomington South 7 Bloomington North 7 (8:21, 1st) It took South just two running plays to even this game up. Che Hogue went 58 yards on a carry for the TD.
  5. Bloomington North 7 Bloomington South 0 (9:04, 1st) North tested South's secondary right out of the gate which has been South's Achilles heel on defense, and went right down the field for a TD.
  6. Yes, I just saw that. That's a HUGE loss for North. I didn't see any reason for him being out. Chances of a South win just went up quite a bit.
  7. I saw a stat that of the nine playoff meetings between the two schools, only once has the regular season game result been reversed. With South winning the regular season game, 28-14, that stat favors the Panthers to come out on top tonight.
  8. The new enrollments figures and class realignments, etc., were supposed to be done this past spring, but because the enrollment figures were unreliable last school year because of covid, it was postponed to this next spring. I guess you saw that Cooper Fox will probably be available tonight which is important to South's offense. They said he left the Castle game in the first half and didn't return after experiencing dizziness for whatever reason.
  9. Yes, North won by the skin of their teeth, 35-30, when the Huskies QB was ruled that he stepped out at the 3 or 4 yard line after diving into the end zone on the final play of the game. North plays at South next week. Something happened to Cooper Fox that knocked him out of tonight's game in the first half, and he has been a pretty reliable receiver for South this season, so hopefully it's nothing too serious. However, when you can't return to the game, it makes you wonder if he will be available next week.
  10. Bloomington North 35 Evansville North 30 (final) Evansville North had the ball at the Cougars' 12 yard line with 1.3 seconds left, but a PI call on the Cougars on an incomplete pass put the ball at the Cougars' 6 yard line for a final play. The Huskies QB rolled out and looked like he had scored on a run, but it was ruled that he stepped out at the 3 yard line to end the game. Bloom. North will play at Bloom. South for the Sectional 15 championship. South beat North, 28-14, during the regular season.
  11. Bloomington North 35 Evansville North 30 (5:50, 4th) EN tightened the game with a TD and a two point conversion.
  12. Bloomington South 16 Castle 14 (final) If you looked at the stats you would have thought South had won this game by two or three TDs, but when you kick FGs in the red zone in all but one drive, you end up with a score like this. South's defense held Castle to just one first half TD with the other TD coming on a blocked punt recovered in the end zone.
  13. Bloomington North 35 Evansville North 22 (11:52, 4th) North has some breathing room right now, but there is still almost an entire qtr to go.
  14. Bloomington South 16 Castle 14 (3:34, 4th) Castle blocked a South punt and recovered it in the end zone for a TD. This was the one thing South didn't want to happen with the game clock winding down, but they just opened the door somewhat for Castle. Castle has already burned two of their timeouts in the 2nd half.
  15. Bloomington North 27 Evansville North 22 (4:37, 3rd)
  16. Bloomington North 20 Evansville North 14 (8:02, 3rd) BN scored on a 26 yard pass to take their first lead of the game.
  17. Bloomington South 16 Castle 7 (11:04, 4th) South's Dasan McCullough picked a pass at the Castle 35 yard line setting up a short drive which again died in the red zone forcing South into another FG to give South some breathing room. A penalty on South inside the Castle 10 yard line hurt South on the drive. The FG was the same distance as an extra point.
  18. Bloomington South 13 Castle 7 (5:14, 3rd) South had another drive die in the red zone, but a 35 yard FG attempt was good. South has dominated the offensive stats and time of possession in this game but have not finished most drives into the red zone.
  19. Bloomington North 14 Evansville North 14 (half)
  20. Bloomington North 14 Evansville North 14 (late 2nd) BN was fortunate that another 80 yard TD run by the Huskies was called back because of a holding call. EN opened the game with an 80 yard TD run.
  21. Bloomington South 10 Castle 7 (half) South had a drive near the end of the half die in the red zone and a FG attempt hit the upright and was no good. Castle gets the ball to start the 2nd half.
  22. Evansville North 14 Bloomington North 6 (9:55, 2nd) BN failed to recover an onside kick after their TD, which set EN up with a short field on their second TD drive.
  23. Bloomington South 10 Castle 7 (6:29, 2nd) South's Achilles heel on defense raised its ugly head again as the the secondary gave up a deep pass play that set up Castle's TD. I don't know how many deep passes they have given up this season, but it's been a bunch.
