  1. Sectional 46 probably has the nod for the potential southern rep. Probably Sectional 44 for the north. Spoilers would be Winamac in the north and Covenant Christian in the south. Dark horses would be Traders Point Christian in the north and Springs Valley in the south.
  2. 1. Feet don't feel like they are on fire when you play in the heat. 2. Those dang pellets. Edit:. I Iike the randomness of grass.
  3. Probably would have been closer if LCC started the game before the second quarter. Get than man a shovel and some burlap sacks. 😀 ... *Led Zeppelin's When The Level Breaks playing in the background*
  4. Yep ... it's P/P 2 - Public 1 in terms of playing up when not required. Mish Mariam actually had petitioned a two class jump, if I recall the story correctly, but was only granted a one-class jump the first time they petitioned up. Scecina moved up to 2A by size and won 2A, then their sized dropped down to 1A enrollment and the petitioned to stay 2A. They eventually dropped down to 1A on size and then back to 2A as the poster-school for "SF: Things Gone Wrong" ... as the only team to be sent packing northward with no blue rings in the SF era.
  5. Might want to post this in the "Canceled/newly scheduled games this season due to Covid outbreak/quarantine" thread which is pinned to the top of the forum. It'll get more views and may even get a resolution as well. Edit: Just linked you thread to that one. Hope they get a taker.
  6. Might need to change your dealer ... especially if it's Carl. 😀 Oh, I'm sorry, you meant the grass on the field ...
  7. Especially when it serves two purposes ...
  8. I think Bremen puts it together and wins this time around. I'll take the over. If LaVille somehow ends up winning this one, then I would definitely say the under comes into play.
  9. 3 Point Games Northwestern @ Benton Central Cass @ Twin Lakes Hamilton Heights @ Rensselaer Tipton @ Central Catholic Western @ West Lafayette Carroll @ Sheridan Seeger @ North Vermillion North Judson @ Pioneer Hamilton Southeastern @ Brownsburg Highland @ Kankakee Valley
  10. Nothing wrong with grass ... or at least a well-maintained grass field. As a player and coach I loved playing on grass although I will admit from an administrator and maintenance standpoint, turf does have benefits of avoiding late-night painting sessions and the AD calling the youth program director and telling them "No games this weekend as we play at home first round of tourney next week and it's raining."
  11. In the meantime ... I got them all right where I want them!
  12. I agree, but couldn't miss the chance for a Mr. Obvious classic to be posted. I will be interested to see, despite the fact that I'm relatively certain CG is going to be getting the blue rings, how the rest of the field competes along the way. Avon's had a really tough season, so I'm kind of interested to see if they are able to get out of the doldrums for the tourney. Of course, drawing Carmel means that there's not much room "getting up to speed."
  13. Going with your Final Four, my picks would be Pioneer and in a squeaker, Bremen gets revenge over LaVille.
  14. Best argument for seeding something of the sectionals. Sectional of Death with West Lafayette starting with Brebuef ... one of those two is one an done. You'd think the IHSAA would at least buy a hot dog and Coke for the losing team. Typically there's a meal when you get this type of evening.

Some fingernail biting tonight in the first half so far.
  16. Grounding from in the endzone should have be a safety. Just like offensive holding on a pass play in the endzone.
  17. Barring a upset by Richmond next week, Harrison should win the NCC outright next week. At a minimum they will have a share. Harrison wins tonight over Kokomo 35-14.
  18. Harrison with a slash back run for a TD. Harrison widens the gap and leads 35-14 with 6:30 left in the game. Jeff and Logansport tied at 21.
  19. Kokomo with a sustained drive capped with a QB TD. Harrison still leads 28-14.
  20. First play from scrimmage in second half Harrison with a 75-yard and a TD. Harrison pulling away from Kokomo 28-7.
  21. McCutcheon leads Muncie Central. 10-7. Jeff tied with Logan sport 14-14. Logansport takes the lead right before the half 21-14.
  22. 21-7 Harrison over Kokomo at the half. Harrison will receive at resumption.
  23. Harrison settling down now. Puts up another score. Leads Kokomo 21-7 with about 6:30 left in the half.
