Would like to see the financials surrounding this agreement with the ISC Network.  Has Carmel become the U. of Texas of the the state of Indiana?

Yeah, I don't know if it's a streaming deal for their stuff or if it's like the NBC/Notre Dame thing. ISC works with many schools.

No.  But they are starting to look like a mini IMG given this new direction  Maybe we will see Kevin Wright back behind the controls in the future

Doubt it. John Hebert's been very good. Carmel doesn't replace coaches often.

He sure was special...no doubt.  On another level.

I would have loved to see Rod Woodson play in high school to compare.  I believe Rod is the greatest player to come out of Indiana, but I judge that typically from his college and professional days.

The Banks family was so athletic...little sister Janese was a heck of a basketball player.

Janese should have been Miss Basketball, but Pike got in the way in Sectional. I think that loss cost her the title. Janese is now coaching at Alabama.

It's my understanding that there are a few coaches in the Wabash River conference that negotiate their contracts separate from the union. I don't think they're covered under the regular teacher contract.

Hmm...interesting. The contracts are negotiated by the union and the districts, but you are not bound to be a union member to benefit from the contract. Are they lay coaches or teachers?

Anyone know how much videographers make in the MIC?  Asking for a friend …

How much do they make? You assume that the programs pay for that service? You'd have to contact the programs directly. To my knowledge, it's most typically a volunteer/student manager/student from a broadcast program who shoots game video and things...don't quote me on that though.

John Hebert makes 94K in teacher pay at Carmel, not including his coaching stipend.  Add in his coaching pay and he is likely in the 115-120 range.

Its certainly not out of the range of possibility that a school wanting to hire a hot young coach with the intentions of turning around its program might bump that figure by 20 to 30% if thats what it takes to get their man.

Thats how you get to $150K

Inflation is driving compensation increases everywhere, especially for top performers.  There are a handful of young coaches who could come to Indy seeking that amount.  Several are on my list.

The only way a public school whose salaries are public record could do what you're saying is layering on job titles that have responsibilities.

    Base Pay

    Coaching Stipend

Maybe Assistant AD or Department Chair Stipend

    Extra Work Days

All must be in the contract available to the public for inspection.
