agree, was at coaching clinic this weekend, so was able to watch bits and pieces, but a few things that stuck out for me: Mic'd up everyone, that was great, love the cordinators/HC mic'd up on the play calls. Interviewing the kicker after missing, ha Physicality of the Safeties playing downhill without worry of penalty. LOVE LOVE LOVE the kickoff rule.

Purdue just played so calm, so confident and got after it. Staple of Painter's Teams. Takes some time to get the process right, this year a little longer, last year Boilers were 6-5 before they went on their run. The inability to have anyone on IU team that you have to worry about stroking the 3 ball is their biggest hurdle to get over, that and the fact for whatever reason, they refuse to run offense centered around getting the ball to their most talented player on the low block. It has been 1450 days since IU basketball beat Purdue. Time to take the 5 stars off the shorts. That would be a start to change the IU Culture. Purdue Practice shorts simply 2 words: PLAY HARD ......

NFHS has changed the rule, you may now spike it from the Shotgun formation to kill the clock https://www.nfhs.org/articles/additional-timing-changes-on-play-clock-approved-in-high-school-football-rules/ Two changes to Rule 7 – Snapping, Handling and Passing the Ball – were approved by the committee. The exception in Rule 7-5-2 regarding an illegal forward pass being a foul was expanded. Previously, it was legal to conserve time only by intentionally throwing the ball forward to the ground immediately after receiving a direct hand-to-hand snap. The committee expanded the exception to permit a player positioned directly behind the center (shotgun formation) to intentionally ground the ball.
