The thing about Monken I have admired has how he has adjusted to fit the career arc thus far on Lamar, sign of a great coach

@Sparty do you assume everything you see or hear on the internet and AM radio is rooted in truth? Because I don't and this is AGENT season time and they are having a field day once again creating choas for websites and podcasts and social media clicks. Rinse Repeat each and every year. Bottom line, NO ONE KNOWS what is going on in Hallas Hall besides the folks behind the walls led by Ryan Poles. McCarthy is safe choice I will be watching what Joe Brady and Monken look like tonight, been a fan of Brady and I think if I had to pick between him or Johnson, it would be Brady on 2 fronts, scheming with success in cold weather city and more traditional approach, the more I have watched the Lions and Johnson, the more I am getting too much of the Nagy vibes of getting too cute with schemes and the razzle dazzle. I don't mind Eddie George interview, I believe Matt Campbell will be a great NFL head Coach. What makes Kliff Kingbury so HOT now, when he was fired by Arizona not 2 years ago? From I can tell at least with Daniels vs Murray is he is not relying as much down field verticals shots, maybe personal based, at least that shows some flexibility in scheme

Washington Organziation is light years ahead of Chicago (see what happens when awful ownership is replaced......) fixed it for you, Recency Bias is quite the phenomenon

I don't know, Purdue hasn't raised tuition since......checks notes..... yep, 2013, don't see that happening now because of IU laying of folks. Perhaps there was too much fat in there anyways, okay to trim at that point?? Excessive waste in positions? Maybe that is why IU did it? I read the article, not sure what some of those titles actually did, Mark Cuban should just buy 51% of the Football and Basketball teams and then boom, everything is solved as far as saving smaller programs and all that

I think SWIFT was fined like 25k by NFL as a RB for lowering his helmet after the fact happens every week, almost every team

https://www.nflpenalties.com For the tin foil folks Chiefs are 18th team in the NFL who in rank on beneficial calls Agree their needs to be more opportuinity for QBS to be officiated so they don't get to play the defenders easing up for more yards, not a fair standard of an already unfair standard on physicality of the position assuming the penalty was for unprotected player under the stature that NFL goes by on that kind of play, no matter where the defender made contact (no head to head) At this point, might as well have those bang bang calls get officiated in the booth then radio down, I would be fine with that

I hope you lift your self appointed gag order on commenting. -

That he does for sure, however, he does and has recruited 5 star and top end talent nation wide. I mean he had Kannon Cathings at Brownsburg, signed, but before report time, Catchins wanted certain assurances about his role, Painter told him again, your opportunity for a role will be what you do here in practice and all that, didn't like that answer, Painter gladly let him out of the LOI and he went to the bag man in BYU where they have a pipeline to the OVERTIME ELITE program that Cathings left for his SR yr of HS. Snagged Trey Kauffman Renn right out of IU back yard, 4 start nation wide recruit. IU signed CJ Gunn, Purdue signed Braden Smith, same class. so yeah I get that . Intereresting he has a test he gives recruits on the process while being recruiting, sort of a personality traits type of thing. He will stop recruiting kids if they fall under a threshold. But to your point, who ranks the rankers? I mean Xavier Booker was supposedly the 2nd ranked kid in the nation at Cathedral, in year 2 at Michigan St, still can't get much going. Purdue pulled out mid way JR year. He was on record years ago stating he will always find 1 shooter every class. DJ Byrd Ryne Cline Carson Edwards ( literally no one cared about him, drafted, but didn't stick, lighting up a very good Euro league) Dakota Mathias Sasha Stephanvic Fletcher Loyer Cj Cox (another Painter Gem, was in Texas recruiting a huge event and watching someone else, but he just kept making plays and shots and his teammates loved him, talked to AAU coach and asked who his major offers were, coach said none, he said, welp, that changes now, I am offering him today ). -
Love the new lineup for the b10 season with Cox coming in to start and putting Colvin and Heide back to the bench Braden Smith, another Matt Painter Gem, will be pretty close to consenses AA if this continues as a JR. Toledo, Montanta , App St and Purdue https://www.on3.com/db/braden-smith-11729/recruiting/118410/interests/ 2 months later, different lineup and yes, they are still filling it up

Missed the game, one of my buddies in group text made a reference about YIKES IU, then saw the 1st H score, What happened with Ballo and Rice?? @EasyEJay What a train wreck AGAIN I have long stated that B10 is great with a functional IU team, however, not sure that is needed now anymore with the expansion. Also is IU still the better destination then Purdue? If so why?

that is why I really really really admire MATT PAINTER, obviously, my Purdue alma mater and background, sure, HOWEVER, I have studied him many times over and I know my IU hoops folks like @Irishman will quietly admit how much they admire how Coach Painter runs the show. He doesn't promise anyone anything, only the opportunity to come in and compete. Purdue is one of only 2 teams in the nation who did not take on a transfer this past year. His quotes from his time on committees dealing with the transfer rules are really good. In summary, "what are we teaching young people". "when it gets hard just leave?" "Adversity hits and you quit?" stuff like that. -
