    In the Region, I like Chesterton and Lake Central. Valpo also has a good one, so much so that Boone Grove plays their home games there. Lowell is a great old-school venue as is Whiting. But any place with great Friday night weather and a rocking crowd is the place to be no matter if you have turf or grass...

    My two cents: Allen & IU will be fine with their cupcake non-conference schedule in search of a lower tier bowl game. Smaller schools such as Hanover, Marian, and Wabash will also have exciting games on their respective campuses every autumn. San Dimas High School football rules.

    With that, I feel to realize what's so good about to HCC. To me, they're just a bunch of large suburban schools whose talent is (merely guessing here) similar to the MIC.

    Conferences, no matter if we’re talking about the Hoosier North, Hoosier Hills, or anywhere in between, will have their respective hierarchies: elite, middle of the road, and not so good. With athletics being cyclical AS THEY ARE, LC and LN aren’t in the elite category at the moment, but what about other sports? Football doesn’t always drive the bus.

    South Newton has a pool, of which to say I was a four year letter winner for the Swimmin' Rebels. I never even thought of applying for the Mississinewa job, probably because I've never coached a down of organized tackle football and I'm just tearing the world of corporate finance up. But now that I know they're may be some grid iron-natatorium correlation, I may give it a shot...

    Teams do suck at times, that’s a given. But I don’t think these so called “sucky teams” will be stuck in first gear forever. Why punish a program for a few bad years?

    In defense of said poster (which I can't believe I'm doing) who I think you're referring to, it's just a miscommunication. I'm pretty sure I've seen him say he looks at records and determines who lives, and this case, who dies. The supposed "Contraction List" is his mind only and sure as hell not at the IHSAA.
