  1. Florida in the summer, a little to humid for me, I prefer the UP of Meat Chicken...
  2. I saw that on hammerandrails.com. Much better from a competitive standpoint as he'll most likely be going up against teams such as DeMatha (MD), Oak Hill (VA), and Bishop O'Gorman (Vegas Baby). This is a good thing.
  3. As my Geno Auriemma remark was not too well received, how about Rodney "why can't we all just get along" King? Just kidding--this is a very slippery slope with no good outcome, or so it seems. I wish everybody a healthy 2019 campaign, and San Dimas High School football indeed does rule...
  4. I get your point, I never meant to come across as an arrogant POS. I wish all you guys well...
  5. Look, I realize a lot of you think a championship is the only thing. It's not. A few good moments on the field, one hell of a victory party, etc. But it ends there as time does not stand still. People move on... ...as I said in an earlier post, I never won a state championship in high school, yet I was cool with it and still am. I'm no longer a football player, yet I'm killing it in my career--that's the real victory! If I trampled on some of your feelings, I would like to expend my most sincere apologies, but I would also like to remind you football is a game, and games should be fun.
  6. No. Free speech rules... By the way, sorry you played without a helmet.
  7. That really puts me in my place. The only thing is I really don't care...
  8. Bummer! Hopefully you picked up some good looking chicks during your recovery...
  9. As I look back on my storied high school athletic career, I must admit that I won a total of zero state championship. I'm OK with that...
  10. Two state titles? Who gets the asterisk? A state champion should be called as such because they were the best team in the state period. It may have come down to funding, facilities, and (dare I say it?) recruiting, but it also should come down to the will and athleticism of the players, coaching, and even luck... Gipper out.
  11. I guess my point flew over your head. To rehash, let's School A has 1200 students, and School B has 1184. Pretty close in enrollment, although School B is funded by the Rastafarian church and is an athletic powerhouse. School A's enrollment is based in an urban setting and has also enjoyed a fair amount of athletic success. The schools happen to be located less than 25 miles apart and happen to be IN THE SAME TIME ZONE. But they wouldn't be able to play for the same State Championship? Talk about next -level stupid...
  12. Ridiculous. In the words of Geno Auriemma, "get better". The irony here is that Luigi coaches at a public school...
  13. Nope--ND is much closer to Loyola. I guess Angola would be it...
  14. I think Notre Dame Stadium would be a lot closer to half way...
  15. Conversely, I wish Oregon and Idaho would start a home and home--the Ore-Ida Hashbrown Classic...
  16. What about South Newton-North Newton? You can call it the Consolidation Bowl...or Contraction Classic!!!
  17. Totally pumped for this season! The offense should be fun as hell to watch and I don't think the defense will be as bad as some people are fearing. I think they'll be 8-4 this year.
  18. Very familiar with the Ramblers (Loyola for those of you scoring at home) and have a keen interest in going. Don't forget: Blue Chip Casino and Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets, what's not to love?
