  1. I'd say in D5 to D7 Ohio yes, as Mercer & Auglaize Counties have public schools in Catholic counties. A lot championships won and state championship appearances.
  2. Bellmont wins 3A! Norwell came close to winning 4A! Crazy that Norwell had 740 or so competing with Center Grove with 3,000. Too bad the 4th quarter didn't go the Knights way. Congrats Bellmont & Norwell!
  3. Well Bellmont wins 3A North & Norwell wins 4A North.
  4. I love my Jets but I think we will struggle the next couple of years. We will have some great seniors and a couple of Juniors but not many proven. The sophomore class has some talent but not much experience either to varsity football. Definitely be a next man up situation. The Sophomores are going to have to hit the weight room and summer workouts as they'll be needed. The Freshmen same as the Sophomores as they'll most likely be needed too. They had a pretty good 8th grade year. Be replacing a good chunk of the lines which is always tough.
  5. I'm hoping you are right. I'm not hopeful the NIL will be handled properly by any of the NFHS members. I really hope the elite move on with NIL and we get the multi sport athletes favored. I would love for the IHSAA to go to 4 sports seasons similar to Iowa. However there must be more moratorium in my opinion.
  6. What would be the point when you can pay & outbid for players to create your teams? Already began in Ohio and will only grow and become a problem. At that point I'm for changing to the European club model and removing athletics from the schools. I enjoy supporting school based athletics, but if the current trend continues, it's on borrowed time.
  7. Who is the favorite now that Norwell is 4A? Does Bellmont make a deep run without the Knights in their way?
  8. Is Luers 4A now with semi state win or do they have to win next week? Believe next year AC plays them for 2 years in the regular season. Think the next couple of years will be difficult for AC. The sophomore class this year is not as strong and haven't been all the way through but have a few studs. The juniors this year will have to carry the load as seniors. This year's freshmen have talent & need to hit the weight room as they'll be needed. It's incredible how they are really starting to understand the game as their first couple years were rough (5-7th). The middle school teams have talent as well.
  9. Speaking of great runs ending, Marion Local was beaten by their neighbors St. Henry tonight.
  10. Congrats Andrean. What a 5 year run by our Flying Jets! 5 semi states, 4 state appearances, 3 runner ups, and 1 championship. Hard to beat that run!
  11. Congrats to the Panthers. Great season Starfires!
  12. Let me know what you find out. Love to have the South Adams game on something while the Adams Central game is on the TV.
  13. Believe you have to flip back & forth. Would love to be wrong. I'd love a multi view.
  14. Game Day Eve. Once again the Flying Jets seem to be the underdogs to the powerful Andrean 59ers. They will be gunning for the Jets this time. It will be tough against those D1 guys but I'm hoping for another upset win for the Jets! Let's hope we can get 2 upsets Friday night! Go Flying Jets! Go Starfires! GO ADAMS COUNTY FOOTBALL!
  15. Let's not get me started on the OH$AA or IH$AA on why they do certain things.
  16. As an Adams County fan I want the Starfires to win. Just a bit concerned as they struggled against Marion Local, Bluffton, & AC on stopping the run. Also had some blocking struggles as well against the better defenses. Maybe the Panthers will turn the ball over just enough and the Starfires can prevail. Hopefully the Jets can have a similar result against Andrean to prevail as well. GO STARFIRES! GO FLYING JETS! GO ADAMS COUNTY!
  17. Should say pushing the school to push the state for Tebow rule.
  18. Have a feeling this could be a new trend that will emerge in Adams County. Heard at least one family & kids wanting to go online. I'm sure a few more would follow. I know one kid in my stepson's grade seems to be dual enrolled. Kid started online before school started & school advised against the online. Kid is supposedly going to school and then doing online/homeschooling program after school. Sounds like the family is really wanting to transition to majority online and then taking 1 class at the school (Tebow method) for athletics participation.
  19. Not different regionals. Those are the same. Just be a different semi state matchup each year.
  20. Yes neutral sites as well. Unless you want to be like Iowa that makes 2 trips to UNI. That would have to be something discussed by LOS & IHSAA.
  21. Would anyone be in favor of a 3 year rotation? Example would be 2A Regional winner of Sectionals champs 33/34 plays Regional winner of 35/36 in year one (37/38 vs 39/40); year 2 33/34 plays 37/38 & 35/36 plays 39/40; year 3 33/34 plays 39/40 & 35/36 plays 37/38. Easier example if this year's 4 teams made it 3 in a row: Year 1 Andrean vs AC & Lapel vs BC; Year 2 Andrean vs Lapel & AC vs BC; Year 3 Andrean vs BC & AC vs Lapel;
  22. You have to put AC & SA at the same location. Can you imagine that crowd? I know it wouldn't be great logistically but that would be fun!
  23. I'll take it! Going for a rare chance of 5 state appearances in a row was a far fetched fantasy when we lost all those semi states before 2000 and all those between then and 2021. That 2003 game still haunts me. When we look back in a few years, we will appreciate how great this era has been for Adams Central football. Heck Adams County football with SA in 2020 followed by AC 2021 through 2024. 2nd year in a row both AC & SA are playing in the semi state.
  24. We will be down the next couple years unless underclassmen step up. Just a testament to the program going from 1A to 2A & win a championship. Now playing for semi state and moving to 3A. Next week will be tough as Andrean is just another great program. I was surprised we upset them last year. They'll be gunning for us this time.
  25. Not many at all. Maybe 1 or 2 kids that play. 1 of the 2 started at AC then Bellmont & then to the Lutheran school in elementary & middle school. Then AC for high school. The other maybe MS at Bellmont and then HS at AC. You can PM me and I'll give you the details on why Bellmont is struggling. Bellmont could be in the same position as AC & SA if certain things would be done. I'm hoping all 3 schools are in different classes when these 7th & 8th graders are Juniors & Seniors.
