  1. I'd have neutral sites for semi state. Used to say regional, but now I'm not. I think the tournament should be seeded by regionsls not sectionals. We keep the sectional championships but seed the regional to determine home field. I'm not a fan of requiring turf but the grass should at least be playable & in great condition.
  2. I'm an AC guy over everything else but I want to see Bellmont get back to having deep playoff runs. Especially now with AC 2A, SA 1A, & Bellmont 3A. My ultimate dream is all 3 making the state finals in the same year & all 3 winning it all. May never happen but I can dream! Be cool to see Wells County do that as well.
  3. Notice though it's not really AC people complaining but I don't look everywhere to confirm. Heck most years we kept saying we probably could have won 2A instead of 1A during some of the Pioneer, LCC, and now Lutheran runs of 1A. Especially the year Woodlan was in the 2A game and we beat them by 9 or so in the conference championship game to end the regular season.
  4. Linton fans have to be thrilled after the first week game. BTW the Flyers won 61-0 tonight & fully expect them to beat their toughest playoff opponent in Regional Final next week. Now to face Indy Lutheran! Good luck Miners our twin to the South!
  5. I had going to semi state as above to meeting expectations with as much lost to graduation. My wonder is if Bluffton was in Eastern's sectional, would we have had another ACAC regional? I believe we would have.
  6. @Thor77 whooped us this year like 77-0 so the Starfires have a lot of talent coming up.
  7. Not bad for the little farm county in NE Indiana to get 2 out of 3 to semi state. Neither will be favored this coming week. 4 years in a row they had a 1A state finalist. Getting it done! What do you say @FlyingHigh @260AC @Thor77? Small town football grows here!
  8. Guessing it will be NJSP vs SA in the North and South Putnam vs Providence in the South.
  9. Go Jets! Go Starfires!
  10. AC 41 Eastside 19 wirh 4mins left in 4th
  11. Pick 6 AC 41 Eastside 13 with 3:13 left in the 3rd
  12. AC 34 Eastside 13 with 4:53 left in 3rd qtr
  13. Adams Central 28 Eastside 13 with 1:35 to go in 2nd
  14. South Adams down 25 at half and wins by 10 @Tri.
  15. Guessing they became 1 dimensional for some reason. I thought they lacked discipline against South Adams & AC as well as not well conditioned.
  16. If they get through those games then they will see some new teams.
  17. @FlyingHigh tonight outside the first defensive series before Bluffton imploded, is what we have been waiting to see. I feel like they could have had that performance in week 8 after blocking the 2 punts. Old playoff foes Busco are coming to town.
  18. In the North it should come down to North Judson, Carroll/Frontier winner, North Miami/Triton winner, and Madison Grant. Could see Pioneer playing spoiler in 42. Say it will be North Judson playing Madison Grant for the North title.
  19. Regardless of outcome, the IHSAA should be ashamed that we don't have some sort of seeding. Our neighboring states shake their heads on the no seeding/random draw. It's time to get something whether it's fully seeded or partial & random draw.
  20. His elusiveness is what scares me. That is what kept them hanging around against us in week 8 at our place. He's pretty accurate as well. That interception from your DB was a huge play in that game. I watched the end and it is probably the best game I've watched all year.
  21. No, that's a base play. The only read is having to cut up or extending it on the edge basically.
  22. Biggest thing was finishing tackles. Credit to the Bluffton QB & RB Craig on some of those. AC dominated at the start but then it was 14-8 all of a sudden. The start of the 2nd half on some of the play calls. They are still looking for the equivalent of what I'll call the Currie pass play of last year. As Coach said this morning, the one QB play is a call by design instead of a read. Trust me, the play calling is more intricate than the playbook of base plays I get to try & coach with young guys. Another example would be to watch the NJ game last year on blocking. I'll leave it at that. I hope the defense gets back on track like the 1st quarter against Bluffton before their score. Last night was hard to gauge based on Woodlan's offense & the different bodies that came in. Outside the perfect ACAC record, the game had little significance.
  23. No, it's not needed. Rather see a seeding system that would seed the top half of teams by sectional or regional.
  24. Watching the game, AC came out on fire, especially on special teams and Bluffton shooting themselves in the foot. Then AC forgot to tackle and it was a ball game for a bit. Bluffton had trouble stopping the run unless they sold out. AC had trouble in the secondary & containing the QB at times. Felt like Bluffton at first may have been reeling from Heritage & questioning themselves until that first TD & 2pt conversion. AC had many opportunities to suffocate & end Bluffton early but never could. Bluffton just hung around & kept it interesting. Did seem though that AC was tinkering with stuff on offense that made it that way. Both sides are going to be thinking about a playoff rematch. I think it will be a good one if they do meet again.
  25. Always a chance. Especially if Bluffton’s defense comes to play. The very few plays I switched over to watch Bluffton, they had a hard time stopping some runs. That could just be luck from when I turned to their games. For AC, they will need to sure up the run blocking. At least 2 if not 3 of those 40+ yd touchdowns could have been 5+yd losses if the first Southern Wells defender completes the tackle. The Jets are going to have to find some more passing success to balance the offense come playoffs.
