  1. After experiencing LOS & security last year, it doesn't matter. They had us 1A fans trying to get out the same way the 3A fans were entering. They blocked off the other exits and stood guard so you couldn't go that way. Just massive log jam to get in & out. Also should have tickets designated by school to allow earlier access for the teams competing and then others for the casual fans. We had people from Tri & some other schools fighting in line while AC & Lutheran fans graciously waited to get in. Tri fans didn't do anything wrong but the meat heads from 4-6A fan bases tried causing issues. Think 1-3A would allow those rare instances where the rural areas get all 3 teams to state in the same year (Wells or Adams County enrollment in a couple years).
  2. Not sure travel has had much to with my Flying Jets struggles. We are what 2-12 and hopefully can make it 3-12 Friday night or we can be 2-13. Ran into some Pioneer, LCC, & Sheridan buzzsaws before to name a few.
  3. Yes exactly. They already have determined the dates this year instead of waiting. I've posted this before, but I'd rather they do 1, 2, & 3A on Friday and do 4, 5, & 6A on Saturday permanently.
  4. Why I would love 1-3A be together on Friday after Thanksgiving permanently. Don't follow programs in 4-6A and big Michigan fan. Plus the local OH HS teams usually play Saturday nights.
  5. Eh, good for those just following Indiana HS football. I like having Indiana on Friday and Ohio on Saturday if it works out that way. Don't forget college football on Saturdays as well for fans as well as officials. Sorta wish the IHSAA would make the 1-3A finals permanently on Friday instead of flopping back & forth or the notion of waiting to see where the participating schools are from.
  6. How much snow is in the forecast for North Judson? Will it be gone by Friday night?
  7. NJSP gets the Jets at the right time. AC has some banged up guys. See if we have the complete starting backfield this week unlike the Regional vs Carroll. We shall see which lines dictate the game. NJSP seems to have more weapons on offense this year. Definitely will be closer than last year. Just hope our Jets can pull through.
  8. At the end of the day, an all in tournament that is either partially or fully seeded with neutral sites for regional and semi state games is the answer. You only need 24 locations for regional and 12 (which could be half of the same regional locations) for semi state games. Partially seeding also allows for the random draw the IHSAA loves so much. All in leaves zero argument as everyone had their chance to get the job done.
  9. Final AC 35 Carroll Flora 0. Looks like AC traveling to North Judson again for a state birth.
  10. AC 28 Carroll Flora 0 half. Turnovers galore, mostly by Carroll. AC set to receive 2nd half kick. Cougars cannot get a running game going. Jets have but not as potent as normal with Tester out with injury tonight.
  11. Sounds like they knew the way things should be and kept officials in line 🤣 is what you are saying.
  12. Believe so as they did a major renovation. Don't feel bad as I stupidly confused Snider & Carroll in a Snider thread vs Mishawaka. Oof!
  13. My bad, somehow I had Carroll & Snider opponents last week confused.
  14. Snider was able to stop Warsaw's so should be familiar. Mishawaka may have better athletes though than Warsaw.
  15. Don't know much about the Cavemen, but is their option similar to Warsaw's?
  16. Believe Ohio has schools or venues bid or make a determination if they want to host playoff games if they meet the OHSAA requirements. This year for they start neutral sites this week in round 3 up until semi state at those sites. They sometimes have to swap games from one site to another. That usually comes from 2 or 4 of the schools asking the OHSAA. 2 schools on the east side of Wood County just did this for their game. Eastwood vs Elmwood was moved from Napoleon to Bowling Green. Bowling Green should have been the obvious choice but the OHSAA like the IHSAA can just be ignorant at times.
  17. Yeah I was meaning using neutral sites though. I should have clarified. No reason they can't rotate the semi state pairing each year between the 4 different regional winners. Year 1 could be NW vs NE & SW vs SE; Year 2 NW vs SE, NE vs SW; Year 3 NW vs SW, NE vs SE. Should be neutral sites for regional & semi state.
  18. Should do Huntington North for Luers vs Bluffton as a neutral site.
  19. Bellmont is basically dirt with a sliver of grass. It was awful when youth teams play on it. Surprised they haven't started raising funds for turf. Though I'm guessing they'll have to start winning again before that is even entertained. Not sure why they always do North & South and haven't tried East vs West. I'd actually rather they do quarters: NW, NE, SW & SE. Then have rotation of semi states.
  20. Watched some of Carroll (Flora) and they have a solid line on both sides and a good running game with a big back & capable QB. They and North Judson could be stumbling blocks for AC. However I can just be a nervous AC fan at times.
  21. Surprises in Wells County as Bluffton wins their sectional and Norwell does not.
