Benson along with Cheyenne in the backfield with a big line. The QB has improved quite a bit as well. The DE's will have to play disciplined. The two upperclassmen at DE sometimes forget that. They took advantage of Triton's DEs last night when they forgot. Looking at a mirror image in some regards. Where I think the Jets will have an edge, is on offense with speed outside. Triton had some success with that. Still like our Jets, but it will be much different than last year's running clock.

NJ offense could give us problems in a semi state rematch.

Anyone else see MaxPreps is trying to predict a Carroll (Flora) vs Adams Central regional game? Sure it's an error, but was odd to see 11/11 scheduled on it.

Thought the AC vs SA game played out as expected. Thought SA played pretty well especially on offense when passing. Feel the AC lines were just more physical which was the difference. For AC, they have to fix the coverage breakdowns in the secondary as well as kickoff coverage.

Secondary could be challenged. However I'm not sure if the SA defense will have much success.

AC vs SA is going to feature strength vs weakness. AC has been good defensively overall, but the secondary has had moments of giving up plays. The guys back there for the most part are getting their first varsity action as Juniors. South Adams has a great passing offense. The question will be if AC's D line & LBs disrupt the SA QB. Now flip side, AC has ran over teams and at times SA has had trouble stopping the run or making tackles like they did last wee vs Jones of MC. AC has also added a passing game. SA secondary has been solid for the most part. I think this one may be closer than most think, but I do believe AC will prevail in the 2nd half.

MC looked to have big guys on the line bit they didn't move well. South Adams threw it well on them. MC just had Jones scramble and he is athletic. SA struggled at times to wrap him up. The Starfires got lackadaisical towards the end and MC made the score look closer than it really was.

I've been told that the Bellmont staff is banking on the freshmen class. That class has/had some talent. My question is if the administration is going to wait that long for things to turn around. The middle school teams actually played close games with AC this year. However those middle schoolers didn't get the full youth football experience. I know I've butted heads a bit with the Bellmont staff over the youth program that is/was shared with AC, but really do want them to succeed. The big problem has been prior coaches not wanting to unify the program from youth on up. They did bring in some quality guys to run the youth and middle school. I know I was one of a few blamed for hurting the Bellmont program bc AC's youth beating the Bellmont youth teams and thus a change occurred to join the Wells County league. Not sure either program has had any success in that Wells County league as I've been hands off since that change due to my stepkids playing sports in Ohio for their school.

Last I knew they were asking Heritage for permission. Highly doubt Heritage will let them as they didn't last week for SA game or week 1 for Bellmont.

Glad to see Coach Mosser went to the huddle during the timeout to address the sloppiness the Jets displayed vs Jay County. Heritage beating SA should have the Jets attention. I think AC wins, but not as easily as they expected.

Heritage pulls it off against the Starfires.

Does anyone know if FW Blackhawk Christian has plans for 11 man in the future. I saw they were on AC's middle school schedule. Could definitely see them as the next ACAC member if so.

AC SA Carroll Flora Bluffton Any talk of another team joining the conference? I mean Bellmont would benefit but won't. No benefit for Norwell to do it at all. What about Blackford? Doesn't bring much in competition for the top, but would benefit Jay County and Southern Wells. Probably not looking to leave the CIC though.

His son is a great player for North Judson.

Hopefully NJ and Triton meet in the sectional final. Should be a good one.

This will probably be the last 2 years AC & SA will be in 1A together in awhile. SA is definitely deserving of being ranked, but probably not quite at 3 but I'd say no lower than 6th. I'm ready for them to be in separate classes and hope they stay so for a long time. I'll have family playing for South Adams in 5 years or so and continue to help AC in youth in a much more limited role than previous due to my stepchildren being at Crestview in Ohio. I'd love to see all 3 Adams County schools in separate classes and hopefully family or friends/neighbors playing at all 3 and they all be highly successful. I dream of an all Adams County Black Friday in Indianapolis (if IHSAA ever follows through with pairing teams in same area on same championship day). Then traveling to a local Ohio turf field for a Saturday state semifinal that Saturday after Michigan whoops Ohio State!

Great game by both teams. Defense could have used Cook big time. Really impressed by the freshmen making plays when it mattered. One sophomore stepped up as well to help the juniors carry the team. Not to be too critical, but the few seniors are going to have to play better. There has been some sloppiness in games and practice. Curious to see how CC is, but after that they shouldn't be pushed except possibly South Adams because it's a rivalry. This team has what it takes to go back to Indy.

Eastside will give our beloved Jets all they can handle and maybe then some. The loss to Eastside was a wake up call for last year's team. Not a make or break game but definitely will tell you where you are at early on this season.

How long until Bellmont drops South Adams from the schedule?

So is that Tri-State team a mix of homeschool kids from MI/IN/OH playing 8 man?

Yes, the Eastside game will be much more telling for sure. Arcanum looked bad from the few parts I watched. Having their HC and superstar QB transfer to a bigger school really hurt them. They're still probably much better than Bellmont and possibly Bluffton.

Probably a mix. AC is good and should improve, just not sure if they're at full throttle just yet. Garrett just couldn't handle the speed on the field.

Yeah it's just under $9 so not too bad after I found it.

Gotcha, wasn't sure since my boss didn't decide to sponsor this year. Surprising since he's in Berne and is a big SA guy. Thought it might have been more of economics & sponsors for just one webcast tonight for the 3 schools.
