Shut down the ENTIRE building because of a “couple positives in the building??” Geez...seems like a bit of an overreach. We’ve had our run-ins, but never thought of shutting down.

From where we sit- there’s not much difference in the 2. We just went where our enrollment put us. We’re still playing Gibson, HH ...we’d still be playing Jasper if they hadn’t jumped ship. You really think we were scared of the likes of Princeton, Washington, and whoever else makes up the big school conference. Give me a break...

My fault. Should have just kept my trap shut. I will say - in response to the low blow comment about Pike Central and “small school division” ...the big school/small school thing was a SOLUTION to the Big 8 “leftover” teams. I was never personally in favor of it- but it did allow some teams to alter/change their schedule as they saw fit. If you think anyone’s gonna be pounding their chest because of a small school conference championship- well then you’re dreaming. We have always set our sights much higher- hence being the only school besides Memorial to be playing UP a class due to the success factor. MD can thank us later for their 2 sectional trophies (assuming they win this year) while we’re not there.

How do I say this politely without causing a s&@$t storm?? Perhaps the vaunted SIAC is - how do you say...not as “vaunted”?? Jasper comes in and has a legit shot to claim the conference crown...😕 Memorial is experiencing a turnover after some great years MD...well...let’s just say the success factor has benefited them moving Southridge out of their way. Central ...I guess they’re pretty good?? Now North has became the top dog?? Too bad sectionals USED to let all these arguments play themselves out- but not so much anymore...

Now THAT would be cool.

The same could probably be said to Snider on a smaller scale with Homestead and Carrol becoming more dominant?? Suburban powers really shouldn’t be all that surprising when you break down the socioeconomics of it all. Not that that’s everything- but it’s a good starting point. People don’t wanna live in “the City” anymore...the American Dream is moving out to that culdasec in “every townUSA” The Ben Davis and Warren’s of the world can/will still be successful...but you really need that dominant HC personality walking those hallways to bring it all together- lots of challenges to face. IMHO

What the heck are you guys talking about?? Did Linton really make a QB switch this week?? I thought the QB they had the past 2 years threw a good ball...he was just under immense pressure last week for Southridge...to judge his performance based on that would be unfair IMO

Uh...you don't accumulate over 250+ yards of total offense by accident. Believe the first drive of the game started at our own 8 and stalled out at the Miner 15. Give the Miners prop's for holding the Raiders out of the end zone - but it wasn't like the Raiders didn't move the ball most of the night. Very few 3 and outs.

Are schools up in Indy operating virtually or in-person?? I thought I remembered reading somewhere awhile back that all IPS schools were going to go virtual until like October?? Is that the case, and if so, does that include Warren and Ben Davis?? And aren't they playing football games?? Any other schools around the State operating as virtual, but still playing games? I'm hoping with the new CDC guidelines that we will be brought back to normal here real soon...

I know the predictions threads are always popular and keep members coming back to post - but honestly, with the COVID protocols, who really the heck knows? A team could be without potential starters and/or key back-ups for a game or 2...but should make for some interesting banter as the season goes along... At least we're out there playing!

Lack of prep time - not to mention COVID protocols and who could/could not be available to a team in a given week - will make for a hard to predict season. People on here will get "giddy" with all the upsets, but the truth of the matter is teams could be down/without several key players in a given week or 2, then have them back later. That is - if proper protocols are being followed 🤔

And will still be one of the favorites to win vaunted Sectional 31 🙄🙄

I can't keep it straight right now....some Indy schools have cancelled week 1 and 2 games? Warren Central has?? I guess I just don't understand, if you have enough players, cancelling one week but turning right back around and being able to play the next?? Are you cancelling because "key" players are out?? And if that's the case ...shame shame.

Darn straight- if schools can be in session, then athletics should be played. Simple as that. (No idea what the Big Ten was thinking??! How on earth can you justify 30k on a college campus, living in dorms, communal bathrooms, frat parties- but yet won’t let 22 guys on a football field?) We ain’t afraid of no Rona down here in Southern Indiana!

Did the EVSC push back its school start date because of COVID concerns? I thought most/all of Southern Indiana was in session at this point?

Are all these Northern Indiana teams?? What in the world is going on up there??

But I don’t really wanna try and comb through all the pages to find out. Can someone supply a list of schools that have postponed their fall sports as of now? And until when?? Maybe im not paying attention enough- but it seems they are all Northern Indiana schools? What’s the deal up there? If I’m not mistaken- I believe the Red Devils of Owensboro run more of an option attack similar to what TC has employed the last couple of years. Probably a big factor in the hiring process I assume. Believe it’s Owensboro Catholic that spreads it around
