  1. Stole this one from the NFHS Football Officials FB page: A1 has a long unchallenged run to the B end zone. Anticipating an easy TD, A1 drops the ball prior to crossing goal line. Both teams A and B leave the field thinking the play is over. Meanwhile the ball has rolled into and come to rest in the end zone. After an appropriate amount of time, BJ blows the ball dead. What’s the call?
  2. Eagles have their work cut out for them again this week. I told you that The Pit has been a nightmare for us. They barely escaped via a last second field goal. Now they have to go to PBTS to take on a very formidable Massillon team. The Tigers didn’t even break a sweat against Elkhart last week, while the Eagles had an emotional roller coaster, come from behind, knock down drag out at Elder. Another obvious trap game for the mighty, mighty Eagles.
  3. I’m trying to imagine a scenario where phone sex would not be consensual. I mean, can’t you just hang up? 🤣
  4. School Field in South Bend is legendary. There is an adjacent building literally a few yards from the end line in one end zone. I have seen more than one official under an upright get conked by a ricochet on a PAT kick.
  5. Eagles went down 10-0, came back, and the 2nd half was a dogfight with multiple lead changes. The mighty, mighty Eagles prevail, 34-33, on a 29 yd. field goal in the closing seconds.
  6. Can you explain this play in a little more detail? Thanks.
  7. Some orthopedic surgeons would differ with you. Knee Pads – Knee injuries are among the most common traumatic football injuries. Knee pads, thus, are essential in the prevention of such injuries as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tears, and injuries to the meniscus cartilage. https://orthonc.com/your-health/play-smart-proper-protective-equipment-for-football#:~:text=Knee Pads – Knee injuries are, injuries to the meniscus cartilage.

Legal NIL has had a profound effect on Clemson.
  10. Sagarin ratings actually include several different indices, some of which do not take into account margin of victory.

Finebaum has made no secret of his feelings toward Dabo. For once, I agree with him.
  12. You can get a temporary restraining order, followed by a preliminary injunction, pretty quickly, if you’ve got the law and the evidence.
  13. This is the guy they want. He has beaten up the IHSAA more times than anyone. https://www.theaustgenlaw.com/attorneys/michael-j-jasaitis/ MICHAEL J. JASAITISPartner Email Michael J. Jasaitis › 219-662-3519 PHONE 219-662-3521 FAX
  14. That is consistent with the rules at all levels. This was a dead ball foul, since contact was initiated after the slide started, i.e., after the runner was down and the ball dead. Since the runner was down short of the line to gain on 4th down, the ball goes over. Then the consequences of any fouls are applied to 1st down.
  15. Does he not still have an appeal to a Case Review Panel?
  16. I don’t get the mouthguard thing at all.
  17. In Ohio, there are 2 organized full contact pre-season scrimmages before the games start. The Eagles scrimmaged Pickerington North and, by most accounts, pushed them around considerably. I think the Eagles are 2 TDs better than the Panthers. But we’ve had some nightmare games in that place.
  18. The Eagles will be severely tested this week at The Pit against Elder, and the following week against Massillon Washington.
  19. The mighty, mighty Eagles travel to “The Pit” at Cincinnati Elder this week. That place has been a nightmare for them over the years. A classic “trap” game.
