  1. Pioneer can never be overlooked. They've come a long way from the first two weeks of the season. It's looking like there is a 50/50 shot that their season could come to an end tonight.
  2. How about for those Eastside fans heading to S. Calhoun St. tonight? Certainly not my neck of the woods down there, but as a foodie myself, I'd love to hear some recommendations. I know Penguin Point is known for their tenderloin sandwich. But there's gotta be something else down there.
  3. I believe their state championship streak in girls swimming is pushing 30 years?
  4. I know, but.........................5400 students. Shouldn't anything less than a semi-state appearance be considered a disappointment?
  5. Warsaw at Carroll..........Carroll is a well balanced team this year. With a defense that is drastically improved and an offense that can put some points on the board, I think Warsaw struggles this time around. It would be a devastating mistake for the Chargers to agree with me though. I'll take Carroll by 14 Snider at Dwenger..........Normally when these two rivals collide, the better team comes out on top. The underdog always makes it interesting though as I've seen games that were suppose to be blowouts turn into 3pt games. There's no doubt that Dwenger is the underdog in this one, but what happens when these two duke it out in the playoffs for the first time ever? The Saints will be ready. Dwenger by 3 Wayne at Mississinewa..........Most on here underestimated Wayne when they played Delta last week. Apparently they didn't learn anything. What I'm learning is that a 2-7 record in the SAC doesn't equate to a bad football team. Generals by 3 Eastside at Luers..........No result would shock me in this game. I wouldn't be surprised if Luers won by multiple scores. But I also wouldn't be totally shocked if the Knights are emptying their lockers after the game. Luers by 10
  6. Don't they call South Side vs Luers the Calhoun Street Brawl?
  7. Does that one d*&^h$#@ in the stands at Seymour represent the whole community?
  8. There are probably 25 programs in the state that could make the claim that their coaching staff is the best.
  9. This is what I respect about Luers football. They are the only 2A school in a conference dominated by 6A, 5A, and 4A schools. They have an expectation of winning the SAC, not just competing.
  10. You probably won't find them any cheaper than on Saturday.
  11. Thank you. I'll pray that God keeps Cathedral safe in their David versus Goliath quest for a 5A title.
  12. I appreciate your compassion. I wouldn't expect anything less from a Christian.
  13. No boundaries...................2 million. Cathedral's advantage trumps Carmel's with an enrollment of 5000. There's not a person on this forum with an IQ over 70 who wants to hear about Cathedral's "disadvantage" of having only 1062 students. I've said my piece. I have too much respect for the Cathedral program to engage in this outlandish claim that Cathedral has persevered despite having "only" a limited number of students.
  14. There's no such thing as a sliding team that gets through the SAC with only one loss. The Knights are as good now as they were in Week 1. If they lose from this point forward, it's because they didn't put their best foot forward.
  15. Whatever. As a Catholic myself, I have a ton of respect for all Catholic football programs. Kudos to Cathedral for building the program they have. But don't give us any BS about "only" having 1062 students. They don't have a feeder system and draw from a metropolis of 2 million people.
  16. Agree. Notre Dame does what it can to schedule quality opponents. Then they all seem to have off years. It seems like every year ND has six ranked opponents scheduled, then there is only one by the end of the season. Notre Dame/Navy can't be touched. Won't be touched. Kudos to Notre Dame for that.
  17. 1. Michigan State is the only one they got wrong. I agree, they won't stay there. At least two losses await them. 2. Spot on with Cincinnati and Oklahoma. Cincy might be worthy of the 4 spot when it's all said and done with, but definitely not the Sooners. 3. Again, maybe a chance at the 4 spot for Notre Dame. But strength of schedule just isn't there. 4. The Michigan/Ohio State winner is a lock given they win the Big Ten Championship game. 5. It was good to see the Wolverines pass the eye test in the eyes of the committee. They are as good as any outside of Georgia and Bama. The goal is to pick the four best teams. I don't think it will make any difference if they have two losses..............as long as the loss to Georgia isn't ugly.
  18. Probably would have made more sense if I looked at the date 😄
  19. Michigan and Michigan State?
  20. I could care less about the length of a guys wingspan or how high he can jump. Give me a bunch of guys who put up big performance numbers on field.
  21. This is entertaining to say the least. Interesting how we got to where we are from a simple "in 2019? 🙂."
