  1. They were beat in every phase of the game except for the scoreboard. They may have taken for granted that Northrop hasn't beaten them since 1999.
  2. I don't think there is anything wrong with how Snider is playing outside of that last fumble. Northrop's coaches are just putting on a clinic.
  3. I'm sure the Luers kids are still struggling with losing a 9 point lead with less than two minutes to play for the state championship last season. That should be motivation enough not to take any team lightly.
  4. I think this sectional is anyone's for the taking. I like Carroll as the favorite with Homestead very close behind. Warsaw will have a say when it's all said and done with. No result would surprise me.
  5. Your warnings must be piling up this week.
  6. Which brings me to Homestead. I've heard their kids mention the SAC title as a goal, but never a state championship. Does that type of mentality hinder them when they square off against Sectional 4?
  7. That was an amazing game to watch last night with some solid D1 recruits. I think everyone just got caught up in the moment. One of the players even mentioned after the game that beating East Noble was their championship. That line of thought could spell doom for them moving forward. New Prairie, Lowell, and Hobart will all have something to say about who goes to state.
  8. Good point, but I'll go with Leo in that one.
  9. Two very good football teams that would nicely fit into the SAC. EN may be a little far, but Leo is a burb.
  10. I knew what you meant. And yes, the SIAC looks to be a fun conference to follow.
  11. Not my neck of the woods, I'll take your word for it.
  12. It'll be interesting to check the ratings again tomorrow morning with the SAC and SIAC getting their first taste of outside competition.
  13. This game deserves a thread of its own. I was thoroughly entertained.
  14. Wayne will be fine tonight as long as Carroll's 59-0 pasting last week doesn't affect them mentally. It's not their fault they are in the third best conference in the state.
  15. Lol, Luers 8-1 record this year has nothing to do with the SAC being down. Homestead has three losses this year because Snider, Carroll, and Luers have trended up. If the latter three programs were the same as last year, Homestead would be undefeated again. At the very minimum, the SAC is as good as they were the previous two years. Homestead and Dwenger being down this year doesn't qualify the SAC as being down since the other big three are having up years. The Spartans are "down", but not by very much.
  16. If anything, it's last years experience that will propel Merrillville. They know what Westfield brings to the table............no surprises.
  17. Concordia won't just defeat Northwestern. It will be a running clock by halftime. I'm taking the SAC in a sweep. South over Delta
  18. Who said the conference is down? The combined strength of Snider, Dwenger, Homestead, and Carroll is as strong as it's ever been. And after the SAC goes 4-0 tomorrow night against non conference foes, I think we'll see first hand that this conference isn't down at all. Snider, Dwenger, Homestead, and Carroll are all good football teams this year. Luers beat three of them. That speaks VOLUMES for a school of their size.
