  1. Hammond Morton would be a good game for both teams. This wouldn't be the year for Concordia to play Warren Central, but it would be quite the experience going up against a team of that caliber.
  2. Warsaw has a very good coach. Should be interesting.
  3. Agree. You and I have had some fun bantering back and forth on this, but.................Homestead (11-1) 24, Noblesville (1-8) 21.........just two years ago. Alarming. I say this because we could potentially have another SAC vs HCC Regional. 2015 was the last time a big SAC school beat a team from Indy.
  4. It's a tough one for sure. I'll back up on my previous post and say that I'm predicting Carroll to win, but won't be surprised if it is any of the three.
  5. Sectional 3 is a crapshoot, but I'll be surprised if it's not Carroll.
  6. Brutal schedule. Still a contender. There is no clear cut favorite. It's gonna be Zionsville, Harrison, Valpo, or Snider. Looks like a crapshoot.
  7. I don't remember. It just seems like the logical way to do it.
  8. Good call then. Thanks for your insight.
  9. I don't understand the rule, hoping Bobref will clarify. Yep, he got smoked. A lot of that goes on when Snider and Dwenger get together. No problem. Snider/Luers will be a good one to watch. You should be able to catch it on Summitcitysports.com.
  10. It'll never happen, but I think you are right, it would make for more intriguing matchups.
  11. Combine sectionals to make one regional? Still to include all teams?
  12. There's nine weeks in the season, just let each team have it for three weeks. Giving the bell to the school who hasn't had it the longest seems kind of juvenile in my opinion. Anyway, poll looks good. The top 5 are cut and dry, the bottom 5 is a crapshoot. I will say this though.............Carroll is looking awfully good! Snider/Luers this week is a monster of a game. The crowd will be big for this one.
  13. The rule reads that if contact is unnecessary or excessive, then it's a penalty. It looked "necessary" to disrupt the kick from happening. I'm curious to get an officials opinion on it.
  14. http://summitcitysports.com/live-video/ Scroll to the -1:03 mark toward the end in the 3rd quarter.
  15. It could very well have been. We, unlike the officials, are privy to replay. In the line of fire, it was a tough call to make. We the fans just thought it was the wrong call.
  16. I believe the call was roughing the kicker. Snider attempted a field goal. Bad snap.........took a couple seconds for the holder to place it. Dwenger defender knocked the holder over apparently going for the ball. Kicker was barely touched and never went down. The penalty gave the ball back to Snider.
  17. Good game previews! You are spot on with the Snider/Dwenger game. This one always goes to the wire and I don't see tonight being any different. Dwenger proved last week that they can rumble with good teams. This will be a good preview as these two teams will more than likely duke it out in sectionals for the right to play Zionsville.
  18. Presenting ideas to increase the overall revenue of high school athletics is never a bad idea. Shame on you.
  19. You hit the nail on the head. If you're the second best team in the sectional, you've more than likely put in the work to get yourself there. It should be rewarded. Instead, the two worst teams in the sectional match up against one another and one earns the right to move on while a program that worked harder packs their equipment and calls it a season. Now, there's certain someone who'll come on here and accuse me of questioning the work ethic of certain high school football programs. It's like anything else in life and it's a lesson learned. The harder you work, the higher the performance. That's true with anything in life, sports or otherwise. There should always be a reward for performance, but the IHSAA doesn't see it that way with the blind draw. My guess is it's just "easier" to pull names out of a hat than it is to determine a seeding method.
  20. My guess is that Penn has the longest streak. They dominated their conference over a span of a couple of decades I believe. I wanna say their streak went somewhere in the 14-20 range.
  21. Seeing Dwenger in the small division gave me pause. However, with the two crossover games, championship week, and two open dates, their schedule can be as strong as they want it to be.
  22. Re-read my last post, think about it, and get back to me.
