  1. I agree, and after the season is over, Pyne will enter the transfer portal.
  2. Nonetheless, he is a senior, and he jumped ship from Wisconsin to come to Notre Dame to play in his final season. His commitment to this young man is obvious. We've seen glimpses of Buchner and Pyne being able to move the ball better than Coan. And with an offensive line that continues to allow pressure on our quarterback, it only makes football sense to utilize someone who can avert those defenders by scrambling out of the pocket..........Buchner and Pyne. Kelly's commitment to "this" senior is plain as day. Don't get me wrong, I like Coan, and if the offensive line were better he'd probably be our man. But under the circumstances we are in, he might just be the third best quarterback on this team.
  3. Brian Kelly will stay committed to his senior like he always has in the past. But winning is the name of the game, and if the going gets rough, he won't hesitate to insert Buchner or Pyne. Notre Dame is blessed to have three good quarterbacks. Somethings got to give though, and Pyne might be the one to go. He deserves to lead a program.

    Clemson

They still have a good defense. The offense is pitiful. This team is starting to implode.
  5. It's actually pretty accurate as you get deeper into the season. Obviously there is a flaw with the SAC since they only play each other, but it works itself out in the playoffs. The reality is that the SAC has four teams that would more than likely qualify for Top 20 overall, but Luers is the highest ranked team at 82. It'll fix itself.

    Clemson

It seems that most sports analysts have all but written off Clemson as a legitimate playoff contender. I feel like I'm missing something here. The Tigers defense has yet to allow an offensive touchdown through three games and that includes the #2 team in the country. All everyone wants to talk about is their stagnant offense. I get it, if you don't score you can't win. But if your opponent can't score, they can't win either. At this point, I think Clemson's chances of making the playoffs are 50/50. But if you listen to what they are saying on TV and radio, it appears to be more like 90/10 against them. Just curious what everyone else thinks on this.
  7. Is it too late for Luers to voluntarily bump up to 4a this year?
  8. On a serious note. Westfield is the clear cut favorite to come out of the north by multiple scores, but I think the odds of Merrillville and Carroll upsetting The Rocks are about the same as Fishers and Noblesville.
  9. CG wipes out Westfield Carroll or Merrillville at Lucas Oil.
  10. It looks like the main difference between the MIC and HCC is Center Grove. No worries from up north. SAC average Sag rating: 50.81
  11. From the outside looking in. Zionsville is a very good football team, but they are facing what may be a 6A team that is Top 5 or 6 in the state?

Legit. Don't worry too much though. Once ND loses that first game, Tyler Buchner will take over and propel them to another 10 win season.

IU's schedule looks vicious. This could be bad. Looks like I'll be wrong again. No way Indiana gets 8 wins. Now I'm betting that they they finish 6-6...........and that's being optimistic.
  14. That school in Florida is a different beast. I was referring to enrollment in Indiana.
  15. Same stupid argument some on here have regarding enrollment.
  16. Between 1982 and 2005, no more than one Indiana team had representation in the USA Today Final 25. During that time, Ben Davis (multiple), Carmel, Hobart, Penn, Snider, and Warren Central (multiple) all had Top 20 finishes. I don't have a source for 2005 - present. I don't ever remember a time where two Indiana teams were so highly regarded.
  17. In that event you look at the number of losses and head to head. I can't imagine Snider being penalized because their opponent canceled due to Covid. I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again more than likely. Luers could just make it easy by winning out.
  18. Probably going to see more mistakes made at the high school level than you would at the college level or the NFL? Kudos to these guys for doing a thankless job. But they aren't exactly the best of the best. And nor should they be on their pay scale. Doing a fine job nonetheless. One thing I see quite a bit, especially at the high school level, is a penalty thrown on one side of the field while the action is on the other. The flag shouldn't be thrown if it doesn't impact the play?
  19. They squandered the 2a title last year. Extra motivated this year. All those dawgs!
  20. I think the "pitiful" comment threw everyone off. Luers would beat, at the minimum, half the teams in 6a.
  21. Luers stronghold over 2a might be stronger than Center Grove's over 6a and Cathedral's over 5a. They beat two teams that are upper half 6a programs.
