  1. How did North score at the end of the first half? I missed it.
  2. Good point spreads, makes it a bit challenging. GOTW: Cathedral (-14.5) at Westfield Westfield Ben Davis at Brownsburg (pk) Brownsburg Carmel at Louisville Trinity (-18) Carmel Center Grove (-27) at Warren Central Warren Central Lafayette Jeff (-11.5) at West Lafayette West Lafayette Lawrence North at Avon (-5.5) Lawrence North Mishawaka at Mishawaka Marian (-3.5) Marian New Palestine at Decatur Central (-5) New Pal Noblesville at Mount Vernon (-6.5) Mount Vernon North Central (-14.5) at Fishers North Central Penn (-3) at Valparaiso Penn Pike at Zionsville (-15.5) Pike Sheridan at Western Boone (-12.5) Sheridan Lawrence Central at HSE (-19) Lawrence Central LCC at Tri-West (-8.5) LCC Homestead (-16.5) at FW Northrop Northrop FW Snider (-12) at FW North Snider FW Dwenger (-20.5) at Fort Wayne Wayne Wayne Evansville Central (-17) at Evansville Mater Dei Mater Dei Columbus East at Whiteland (pk) Whiteland Jesuit Brebeuf at Bishop Chatard (-29.5) Brebeuf Andrean at Merrillville (-9.5) Andrean
  3. Well said. What I respect about Luers is that they play everyone of the these large schools with the expectation that they are going to win the game. They have an "I can beat anyone" and "winning state championships is what we do" mentality. There are some 6A schools that don't even think that way, one SAC school in particular.
  4. Three teams in the finishing in the Sagarin Top 20 last year? That's pretty good representation. Is the outlook the same for this year?
  5. I was referring to losing to Northrop two years in a row. I don't see that happening unless Northrop is a different team this year........and maybe they are.
  6. He had a championship team at Harding, a championship caliber one at Woodlan, no reason to believe he won't have one at Wayne.
  7. Those Anthony Spencer teams were Top 10 regardless of class.
  8. This game is intriguing to say the least. My gut says Cathedral by a couple of scores, but would it be a complete shocker if Westfield won this game? Maybe I'm just out of the loop being two hours north.
  9. Picking Luers to win is bold. I mean, expectations for this Carroll team are pretty sky high. But hey, I'm sure the Knights aren't showing up on Friday with the intention of losing. North Side has some talent returning from a team that spanked Snider by 30 last year. I'm not so sure about the 30 point turn around you speak of. South over Concordia? Is South that much better than last year or is Concordia that much worse?
  10. Depends on how you look at it. Twelve out of thirty two isn't so wonderful. But your probably one of the best 20 teams out of 320.
  11. Same. Upset watch.............Wayne over Dwenger.
  12. Still the game of the week. I'm looking forward to Luers squaring up against this Carroll team that has high expectations. No shame in a great 2A team losing to a good 6A team. Could be closer than some think. We'll see.
  13. It was also the first game of the season. Best of luck.
  14. Westfield is better than they were last year and this is going to be a four touchdown game?
  15. Up by nine with under 2 minutes to play. Happy?
  16. Agree. I knew exactly what you meant. The chances of a team losing when up by 9 with 1:39 to go is less than one percent. That's how I came up with that. But I understand your point of view as well.
  17. I get what you are saying. Luers returns more of their core than Carroll does though. So that might make a difference. Bottom line.............anyone who plays Carroll this year better have their pass defense in order.
  18. Game of the week in the SAC It's 2A vs 6A, but yet considered the marquee game in Northeast Indiana Friday night. Bishop Luers returns most of their players from what should have been a state championship team a season ago. The Knights already have a couple of victories over Carroll since the Chargers joined the SAC a few years back, and this team is better than any of those. However, Carroll is also looking at what could be their best team since joining the conference. Not to mention they'll be hosting for the first time in their brand new stadium. The Chargers will be jacked up for sure. But don't count out those Knights. I'm giving the 6A school the advantage in this one. Carroll 35-21
