  1. Great game, not a lot of fireworks. I had no dog in this fight and even though I thought CG would win, Cathedral impressed me more. CG stepped up on their last drive which is what champs do. I thought Cathedral possibly outplayed them but CG earned that win. I think most people would have punted on Cathedral’s 4th & 1 play and that did end up changing the outcome of the game for them unfortunately. I still see them as #1 and #2 in the state and I’m sure most do as well.
  2. Can’t believe Cathedral didn’t punt there... even going for it why do a little WR motion run instead of going up the gut with your RB who’s been killing them the entire 4th quarter?
  3. Ben Davis 35 North Central 7 HALF The most surprising score of the night so far. Ben Davis making a statement before the tourney

  5. Warrens strength of schedule: 4th Michigan City’s strength of schedule: 84th Love the content you create on here DT but there’s not a chance in hell this game would be competitive. You know as much as I do that Warren is a program built different than most. 2-5 is certainly disappointing but those losses have come as the following: 0-20 to Center Grove 0-10 to North Central 14-21 to Ben Davis 13-34 to Lawrence North 14-38 to Carmel Those are not even bad losses, a 24 point deficit against Carmel is far from embarrassing. All 5 of those teams are top 15 teams in the state. (you could make a case that BD isn’t, i still think they are) A game against MC would be a bye week for WC and that’s not even being disrespectful
  6. Warren would smoke them. Michigan City is an average 5a team at best... far from a contender. Their toughest opponent of the year is Chesterton and they lost to them. For the record i hate how dominant the Indy schools are but come on let’s be real. Michigan City lost to Chesterton by 8, lost to Laporte by 1 and beat an awful Portage team 28-7. Warren is fielding one of its worst teams of the last 20 years and they would have their way with the Wolves. It would be ugly and I really hope this doesn’t happen or some Michigan City players are going to get hurt
  7. I’m sure someone will do it. At least i hope so, really looking forward to it. Cathedral and Chatard appear to be locks for 5a and 3a. I’m sure most would consider CG a pretty heavy favorite for 6a but they showed they are human last week.
  8. I enjoy looking at them but I’m with you. I think any good coach makes sure their players know rankings don’t mean a thing when it comes to Friday nights
  9. North Central 21 Pike 7 HALF Roncalli 41 Perry 3 HALF Cathedral 25 Brebeuf 7 HALF West Lafayette 35 Twin Lakes 14 HALF Lafayette Jeff 50 Logansport 0 HALF Harrison (WL) 35 Goshen 0 HALF Ben Davis 42 LC 0 HALF
  10. TH North and Chatard 7-7 at half LN up 13-0 on CG If you’re not a fan of CG or Chatard this is probably the best thing that could have happened in a half of football for the sake of the state. CG and Chatard are consensus top 5 teams in the state. #1 and #4 in Sagarin respectively. No matter how the second halves play out, this lets their future opponents know they have a chance
  11. What’s the procedure on who gets home? Say Tipton and Eastbrook both win, is Tipton at home because they traveled first round and Eastbrook didn’t? Also, say in a 4 team sectional if both home teams win, is the team on the bottom home for the championship?
  12. Carmel 49 WC 28 CG 55 LN 17 BD 56 LC 10 NC 34 Pike 26
  13. I will say this, Jeff would have kept it closer against Chatard than Merrillville did imo, but i still think Merrillville will beat Jeff. Merrillville killed themselves with mistakes, Jeff wouldn’t have made those. Jeff has 3 D-linemen committed to D1 schools and a great O-line and running game. Their passing game will be pretty nonexistent against high-caliber teams. Jeff runs no huddle, lot of inside and outside zone from the spread. They slowly break you down the longer the game goes, their RB is a track star and one of the 5 fastest kids in the state. Jeff could certainly beat Merrillville, but I have a hard time seeing it. Jeff has all those D1 lineman in the defense and still gave up over 400 yards rushing to Harrison which i can’t process.
  14. Watched a few of their games, just don’t think they have the talent to beat Westfield. They had a better chance last year
  15. I would be very shocked if they upset the Shamrocks. I will take Westfield by 20+ if it comes down to this matchup. Much more battle tested
  16. Chatards defense is just too good for Merrillville. MV has their most hyped/talented team in a long time and can’t come through. Them or Jeff will come out of sectional 1 but just don’t have the teams this year to beat a Westfield caliber team.
  17. Lafayette Jeff 77 Richmond 6 Final Bishop Chatard takes over on downs up 38-21 with 5:30 left in the 4th. Chatard makes up for what could be considered a talent difference between the teams with consistent, disciplined football. A disappointing game for the Pirates. Makes me feel like as long as Westfield beats HSE again, they’ve got a pretty clear path to the title game.
  18. Chatard 31 Merrillville 14 5:44 3Q Chatard came to play, forcing a lot of mistakes from the pirates Mooresville 35 Whiteland 35 OT Lafayette Jeff 63 Richmond 0. HALF West Lafayette 51 Cass 20 Final Harrison (WL) 42 McCutcheon 0 Final

  20. Just saw this one was scheduled on Twitter, has to be the best matchup of the year that Covid has brought us so far. Huge opportunity for Merrillville here to cement themselves as state title contenders with a win next week. Praying this one will be streamed
