  1. Conspiracy! I must preface this with “this is for entertainment purposes only.” I must also be clear that I don’t believe any of this but thought it was funny so I’m sharing. There is a hilarious conspiracy floating around Lincoln City. This is inspired from the past several years, especially during the Brady Allen years, there are almost always “mystery men” that show up on the roster. Who are these 2 or 3 270 lb 6’ 5” seniors that just showed up on the roster this year? Well, that is all fine and good and is what it is but this year–NO MYSTERY MEN. But wait, there’s more. There is a mystery man, but this man is no man and goes over a foot shorter and about 150 lbs lighter, but has way more power. Jett’s girlfriend–for those who aren’t aware, she is a student at Gibson Southern. The conspiracy was that Coach Hart was going to rig it so that we would play the first game of sectional (this came out BEFORE the draw–feeding the conspiracy further), and then today or tomorrow, she would break up with him and there would be pics of her and Zach Foster (GS QB1) on Twitter together. This of course would be devastating to poor Jett who can’t concentrate on the game and everything falls apart. My son says this has gotten hilarious as one of the boys at the lunch table says to Jett, (who is ticked this is even a thing) “that is some elite stuff from Coach Hart right there!” They continually give him a hard time since he is dating the “enemy”. Again, nobody actually believes this, but it was funny especially since it started before the draw.
  2. Probably something like that. They are having a good season (for them). If I recall correctly, I'm not sure the varsity crossed the 50, and if they did it wasn't by much.
  3. @RocksFan23 You will see the station below you want to listen to and it is NOT the Bash. Tune in to 103.3....:) SECTIONAL 32 OPENER HH vs GIBSON SOUTHERN Friday, October 25th 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff @ Gibson Southern - Jack Jewell Field History Of The Matchup Heritage Hills (8-1) @ Gibson Southern (7-2) Gibson Southern - Jack Jewell Field Fort Branch, IN Friday, October 25, 2024 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff This is the 53rd meeting between Heritage Hills and Gibson Southern. Heritage Hills leads the overall series 35-17. Our Patriots are averaging 40.0 ppg on offense, while holding opponents to 7.6 ppg. The Titans are averaging 36.7 ppg, while allowing 17.8 ppg. The Patriots also faced three teams that consolidated into Gibson Southern High School in the 1972 and 1973 seasons. Heritage Hills went 0-2 vs Fort Branch, 1-1 vs Haubstadt and 2-0 vs Owensville. In the first season of Patriot Football, the Patriots went 9-1 and their only loss was to Fort Branch (15-12). The Titans won the first three meetings in the series by beating Roger Snow’s Patriots in 1974, 1975 and 1976. The Patriots didn’t beat the Titans for the first time until 1977, which was the year Bob Ashworth became the Patriots Head Coach. The 1977 season was Bob Clayton's only season as Offensive Coordinator at Heritage Hills before he stepped into the Head Coach role. The following season Ashworth moved onto Evansville Reitz and Clayton took over the Heritage Hills program. The Titans have won 13 of the last 21 meetings starting with a win in 2010 that snapped the Patriots streak of 21 straight wins over the Titans. Heritage Hills and Gibson Southern have played 5 overtime games in the series including a 7-0 five overtime affair in 1982. WE NEED YOU this SATURDAY LOUD & PROUD! BRING THE 12th MAN! 4. LOL, yes it has every chance of not only being closer, but having a different winner. Friday night will NOT be a 4 score game and this time GS will likely score a bunch. They will throw their typical 40 times a game and we probably won't be playing in a hurricane. Last year we played twice. Regular season, GS won by 3, in semi-state we won by 3. That is the kind of game I expect Friday and this game is on their field. We both have key players banged up.....we will see.
  5. Must be nice! We are sitting over here with half the top 10 in Sec 32. The clown soon...it has been a few years, or maybe the dogs again....I guess we will see.
  6. It is the biggest name to ever come out of the PAC....so I suppose it is relevant. He obviously has too much time on his hands.
  7. Some week 9 humor. I actually feel sorry for them, they are bracing for impact.
  8. HH vs WASHINGTON Friday, October 18th EARLY KICKOFF 6:30 pm CDT Kickoff @ Washington - Hatchet Hollow History Of The Matchup Heritage Hills (7-1) @ Washington (5-3) Washington - Hatchet Hollow Friday, October 18th, 2024 6:30 pm CDT EARLY Kickoff This is the 10th meeting between Heritage Hills and Washington and the Patriots lead the series 9-0. Washington is averaging 28.8 ppg and giving up 19.3 ppg and Heritage Hills is averaging 39.8 ppg and giving up 8.6 ppg. Our Patriots are looking for another win to cap off a great regular season and an outright PAC Large School Championship. With a win this Friday, the Patriots will capture their first PAC title since 2019 and the 28th conference title overall for the Patriot Football Program. 9. Is it a Catholic thing that you can't do breakfast for dinner??? Do that--I'll be by on my to Washington for our game.
  10. Mt. Vernon moves down to small side and Southridge moves to big side.....that was the talk earlier in the season. My understanding is that it is all but a done deal.
  11. That may have been us last year, not sure....
  12. I don't disagree with what you are saying at all. I think the comment is referring to the idea that you have all these BIG schools in the SIAC with some historically solid programs (i.e. Castle) that seem to get it together. A school like North, with their size, should have no trouble putting a competitive team together. It could be deceptive on how good any of us are--Memorial or Heritage Hills. I say all this recognizing that Memorial could blow through sectional winning every game by a bunch, but so could GS or HH.....I'm not sure any of us have been tested yet. Except the CAL game, they are ridiculously good, but that was a game that if a few of the small things were different could have been 21-14. Still a loss, but not as bad....but it is football, the little things will destroy you.
  13. Just had this conversation with Jon Goldsberry Sunday at church (devoid of Al Bundy). How good is Castle, really? North is not good. Central, Harrison and Bosse are terrible year after year and lest we forget Reitz running the table a few years back only to get beat by Boonville week 1. This statement is truth. Regional will be a 30+ point blowout.
  14. You wouldn't believe how hard of a time that kid has got for dating a girl at GS. Actually you probably would. Her parents come to all his games.
  15. Freshman should get some reps Friday in this one. HH vs PRINCETON Friday, October 11th 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff @ Princeton - Tiger Stadium History Of The Matchup Heritage Hills (6-1) @ Princeton (1-6) Princeton - Tiger Stadium Friday, October 11th, 2024 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff This is the 13th time Heritage Hills and Princeton have met on the gridiron; the Patriots lead the series 11-1. Heritage Hills is averaging 37.4 ppg on offense while holding their opponents to 8.8 ppg. The Princeton Tigers are averaging 12.5 ppg, while giving up 38.7 ppg The Tiger's only win to date in the series was the first meeting in the series and it was a big one as the Tigers defeated the Patriots in the 1986 Sectional Championship by a score of 24-15 to capture the 3A Sectional title. 16. Mater Dei. Wins 2 games in the SIAC and then wins state in 2a. Yeah, I didn't say my way was perfect, there is some things to take into account. Probably have to be some conference realignments. But it is pointless to talk about (yes I know I started it.)
  17. Why whatever do you mean, it is almost like you are implying that there is nothing random about the random draw.... I also don't think it would change the quality of play, I do believe that the regular season would mean more if it somehow applied in some way to the tournament. Indeed, I think we all look forward to this. At the same time a GS/HH or a SR/HH matchup will not even be close to the same game it was in the regular season.
  18. Sorry didn't mean to confuse, I was just belaboring the old conversation of the way things should be. Kicking the dead horse of "making the regular season count for something".
  19. With the old, tired conversation of the way things should be. Princeton is not in the sectional as they shouldn't qualify for the playoffs. Memorial, gets a bye round 1. HH vs VL or MV GS vs MV or VL MD vs SR Of course in a real playoff system (like Kentucky) this would be even different than what I have here.
  20. NP is good, but I think there is a good chance the Raiders win this by a few scores.
  21. HH vs MOUNT VERNON SENIOR NIGHT MINUTEMEN NIGHT Friday, October 4th 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff @ Heritage Hills - The Jungle History Of The Matchup Mount Vernon (4-2) @ Heritage Hills (5-1) Heritage Hills - The Jungle - Lincoln City, IN Friday, October 4th, 2024 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff This is the 24th meeting between Heritage Hills and Mount Vernon (Posey). The Patriots lead the overall series 16-7. This season Mount Vernon is averaging 34.8 ppg and giving up 28.2 ppg while Heritage Hills is averaging 34.5 ppg and giving up 9.3ppg. The two teams played in the regular season every year from 1974-1981 and resumed the regular season series in 2014. They have also met four times in sectional play and once in the regional. Like most of the Patriots opponents, in the early 70's Mount Vernon dominated the series; The Wildcats won 3 of the first 4 games. In 1978, Bob Clayton's first Patriot team turned the tides with a win and the Patriots have won 15 of the last 19 games. 22. 2020 was one our our worst seasons and one of 5 (I think) losing seasons in the history of the program.
  23. The weather was on both of us....so it is what it is. Yeah, flags were ridiculous. As for next meetup, if that happens in sectional, it will be a completely different game no doubt. We can count on nothing as it pertains to Saturday if we get a round 2.
  24. GS will beat them by 50.
