  1. Up until last season, Michigan had won exactly one national title in the previous 75 years and is routinely one of the most arrogant fan bases in the country. What on Earth has given them the right to be arrogant all these years? You've been running your mouth since Michigan beat Ohio State for the first time in a decade.
  2. So Harbaugh is the first and last cheater to win a national title? Surely you don't believe that?
  3. What else would you call a coach currently serving a 4 year show cause for multiple level 1 infractions?
  4. Who compared Cignetti to that cheater?
  5. Michigan's schedule was a joke last year, to argue otherwise is asinine.
  6. 1. Your reading comprehension is terrible because I clearly stated regular season. Iowa, Alabama, Washington all occurred AFTER the regular season and had no bearing on what a weak regular season schedule Michigan played last season. IF IU goes 11-1, they too will have the chance to add the number of bowl eligible teams on to their resume. Michigan played two ranked teams in the regular season. The same will be said for IU assuming Michigan holds up their end of the bargain. Not sure how many more times they can be bailed out by the officiating.
  7. Considering Michigan only beat 4 P5 bowl eligible teams last year is that really some kind of dig?
  8. Maryland won 8 games last year, as did UCLA. IU beat UCLA in Pasadena worse than Oregon did as well as LSU in Baton Rouge.
  9. When has the schedule been any different? They’ve beaten two teams who won 8 games the year prior by a combined score of 84-41.
  10. Not everybody is born on 3rd base…
  11. He’s going to win 10+ games at a school who has never won 10 games in a season at any point during its 137 year history. And he’s going to do it with a bunch of former G5/FCS level players. Let that sink in. Wait till he starts getting P5 level players regardless if it’s at IU or another program who hires him away.
  12. Dude’s 124-35 spanning multiple levels of football. That’s quite literally all he does is win.
  13. Awful weird way of saying winner.
  14. Is the coaching industry the one profession you can fail upwards? Guy is two years removed from going 31-28 at Ben Davis of all places and is now calling plays for a B10 program.
  15. He can’t play at another school this season. IU burned McCulley’s redshirt his freshman season after they suffered some QB injuries. He’s played in 4 games this year which means if he plays another snap going forward his collegiate career is over after this season. McCulley is buried on IU’s depth chart so he’s electing to redshirt this year to preserve his eligibility to play elsewhere next season. I believe theoretically he can transfer whenever but he wouldn’t be eligible to play for a new team until next season.
  16. Is he? He hired Walters and then signed off on all the staffing hires, none of which included a seasoned veteran to help navigate a 36 year old rookie head coach.
  17. Do you even let Boninski make the next hire? He’s approaching 70 and would guess retirement is around the corner. I would guess the AD position is that more attractive knowing you’d get to hire the next football coach.
  18. His buyout at the conclusion of the regular season is pocket change compared to some of these other contracts if I read correctly ($9 million paid out in installments over the next 3 years and offset by an potential future earnings). Parting ways at the end of the season isn’t a financial constraint which seems to be one of the main reasons incompetent coaches are held onto too long. But will Purdue do it? I gather that Purdue has always taken a more conservative approach when it comes to turning and burning coaches. Hazell for example wasn’t fired until midway through his 4th season. But that was a different era. In this NIL/portal era, not sure Purdue can afford to hang onto a bad investment too long.
  19. The INT thrown in the first overtime when all Ben Davis needed was a FG was so unnecessary.
  20. I think Sagarin is the most accurate predictor out there.
  21. I think you’re taking my comments too literally. I’m not suggesting there’s 100 teams better than Snider. It’s all figurative. I think Snider is in the 35-40 range based on resume.
  22. Midway through the season is when Sagarin starts to become more and more reliable. Sagarin suggests Snider is much closer to a top 50 team than a top 25 team. What has Snider done in your opinion to earn a top 25 ranking?
  23. I mean they’ve been outscored 45-6 against 6A competition. Snider is a fringe top 50 Sagarin team as it stands today for a reason. Warren has a phenomenal defense but not a state title contender given their offensive issues. They needed 2OT’s to beat the first team with a pulse they’ve played all year and that team (Ben Davis) isn’t very good to begin with.
