  1. He was fired from USC after suffering through their worst season since the early 90's (the whole staff was) and spent one year last year at West Virginia and voluntarily left. But you want see one West Virginia fan said to see him leave.
  2. Probably too early to make that call on Walters although this is not the type of industry where you want to learn the job on the fly. I do think Walters was pretty careless in the hiring of his support staff. A lot of young and up and coming coaches instead of having some veteran leadership to assist him through the first few years.
  3. A 6'3 265 lb WR??? Lord I know they have a junior WR who has a ton of P5 offers as well.
  4. They have several P5 recruits and beat Trinity earlier this year although Trinity may be down. Thinking the Irish will need to play extremely well, turnover-free football to win.
  5. I'm not buying any USC hype until their defense can stop somebody. I think Duke's win over Clemson is more of an indictment on Clemson than it is Duke. Solid team this year, especially for program standards, but I don't think they're anything special. I'd be more worried about playing a potentially undefeated and ranked Louisville team at home in a few weeks than I would Duke if I were a Notre Dame fan. Ohio State and Notre Dame should be a barn burner. McCord needed a few games to get his feet under him.
  6. Don't know if EC could handle the grind of the 6A tournament nor should they be expected too with 1270 kids. But in a one off game who knows? I think they're the real deal this year and Ringer is special. Would have to think Cherry, Sherrell, or Gotkowski who are all the perceived best players on the three best 6A teams will probably command some attention assuming one of those teams win 6A. Danny O'Neil Cathedral was probably the front runner coming into the season and while he has put up some good numbers, likely doesn't have the the team to make a run this year.
  7. I'd say Josh Ringer RB East Central is probably the early front runner. On pace for a 2500+ yard season and 50+ TDs. Plays on arguably the best team regardless of class that should go 15-0 en route to a 4A state championship.
  8. Thinking it’s Colorado and Alabama. Tommy Rees might not make it through the end of the weekend.
  9. Rutgers should be above Wisconsin and Minnesota in my opinion. They’ve looked far more impressive through 3 weeks. 10-13 is interchangeable although Illinois and Purdue have taken major steps back from last year.
  10. Thought the offense started to click once they took the training wheels of Jackson in the 2nd half. IU was all too predictable play-calling wise in their game against Ohio State and much of the first half against Louisville. There’s some talent and athleticism at the skill positions and Jackson appears to have all the tools. His maturation as the season progresses will tell a lot.
  11. Can he call plays? Walt Bell is awful and will yet again be the downfall of what should be another disappointing season. That 4th and G play all alone should be a fireable offense.
  12. That's my thought as well. I think they're going to get Tucker based on Tracy's client relationship with Michigan State.
  13. ? I don’t think MSU wants anything more than there to be enough to fire Tucker for cause. They quite arguably gave him the worst coaching contract in the history of sports. Tucker and this woman have spoken on the phone 27 different times with the average talk time being 30+ minutes. He admitted to having phone s*x with this woman on multiple occasions and thought it was consensual the entire time. As far as Harbaugh goes, I have no clue if he’s lying to the NCAA. The NCAA says he did and he says he didn’t. He accepted a 3 game university self-imposed suspension to soften the damage. Who knows 🤷‍♂️
  14. Gonna be a wild couple days. Fired, not fired, now suspended? He’s not getting fired unless Michigan State is off the hook for the remainder of his $76mil buyout. The Title IX investigation currently going down is buying MSU legal’s team time.
  15. Don’t think anyone from Cathedral is going to blame this on the lights when it happened at their venue of all places. One team showed up to play Saturday morning while the other team was still in bed. I’ll let you guess which team won.
  16. Not real fixated on rankings. Losing to Chatard doesn’t bother me so much as the way they lost. Chatard is a rivalry game and more than a formidable opponent but they out-played and out-coached Cathedral for the final 36 minutes and that can’t happen.
  17. It didn’t. Cathedral and staff thought the game was over after the 1st quarter while Chatard played the entire game.
  18. Pretty admirable effort by BD tonight, especially falling down 21-0 in a hurry, got this one completely wrong. Game was a lot closer than the final score indicated.
  19. Wouldn't the IHSAA have jurisdiction and final say on the kids eligibility? Even if Indian Creek doesn't sign off?
  20. They smoked Dwenger week 2 but yes 1-3 against IN competition before you play an OH opponent really puts them behind the 8ball.
  21. That's what I keep coming back too. There has to be something that the IHSAA and/or Indian Creek can't publicly comment on or Doyel is intentionally omitting from his piece. This story is on the verge of national news (I saw where Yahoo had re-published Doyel's article), just can't fathom that Indian Creek or the IHSAA would die on this hill and allow for all this public scrutiny if they didn't have a leg to stand on.
