  1. On another note, Kevin Warren should be forced to make a public statement on how he continues to justify the imbalance of divisions. You could make a rational argument that the 6 best teams in the B10 are in the East, and that doesn’t include Indiana who already beat Illinois.
  2. Not really a hot take. Tom Allen is a likable guy and it’s hard not to root for him, but he’s not a P5 head coach.
  3. It’s why I laugh when guys like @BTFsay there are 20-30 guys who could do Day’s job better than him. Recruiting is one thing, and honestly it’s half the battle. But you have to be able able to coach. See Jimbo Fisher. Freeman’s young and I’m sure he’ll eventually figure out, but way too many ND fans refused to see the inherent risks of hiring a coordinator with no head coaching experience.
  4. Starting a lacrosse player at the most important position on the field hasn’t paid off. When does Tommy Rees start to feel some heat? Seriously, ND didn’t land a QB in the 2022 class and don’t have one committed for the 23 class.
  5. Lol. Kelly won 10+ games for 5 straight years with those “choices”. Freeman can’t beat Marshall. He’s way in over his head.
  6. Call it like I’ve see it. Freeman has been SCHOOLED in all three of the 2nd haves he’s coached in. Glad he can recruit, going to need to develop that talent way ahead of schedule.
  7. Freeman honeymoon over yet? Conceding the game in the 4th quarter last week hasn’t really seemed to give Buchner a vote of confidence, and he’s not that good to begin with.
  8. BD obviously a lot better than some people gave them credit for to begin the year, myself included, but man that just feels like a game they needed to win. Hats off to Coach Patterson and the Bears. Wasn’t that long ago they were the laughing stock big school Indianapolis football.
  9. 38-0 Irish. Cathedral came out swinging right out of the gate. Down 14-0, Chatard was able to put a couple good drives together sandwiched into between a Cathedral turnover, but stalled each time. Irish skill position players too much for Chatard and a pick 6 to end the half ensured a running 2nd half clock. Pretty ho-hum from there. Can’t find much to nitpick other than a couple senseless penalties. Chatard will be fine rest the way.
  10. Decatur Central has an Indianapolis address. It's just south of the loop in the SW corner of the city. It's a 10 minute drive from the airport. Whiteland is a growing suburban school in Johnson County, not terribly far from Center Grove. Plainfield is also a 5A school that most would consider Indy area.
  11. Lol. I don't like Notre Dame, that doesn't stop me from being objective. Notre Dame devised a wonderful game plan last week against Ohio State. Which is why Freeman just laying down in the 4th quarter is even more befuddling.
  12. In the event Martinsville becomes a town of more than 50k people where people actual relocate you might have an argument.
  13. All those schools in that link have physical Indianapolis address. "Indy area" in most peoples minds are schools that make up metropolitan Indianapolis (city/township/surrounding counties). I myself think all the city/township + suburban schools make up the Indy area. Some think any school that is located in a bordering county is considered an Indy area school. Tough to convince me that a school like Martinsville or WeBo is an "Indy area" school.
  14. Don't think Sheridan is "benefitting" from urban sprawl. I think the reverse is more accurate. Sheridan has one of the proudest football traditions in the state. They haven't won a sectional in 10 years. I would categorize their enrollment as stagnant at best. Seems like they are losing families looking to move closer to Indy. Certainly don't fit the profile of a school corporation benefitting from urban sprawl.
  15. I don't think anybody from Sheridan or WeBo considers themselves "Indy".
  16. Fair Noblesville and Westfield about the furthest North you can get.
  17. Mt Vernon (at least to me) feels like an Indy school. Large parts of Fortville and McCordsville are very suburban. I would not consider a school like Lebanon or WeBo to be Indy area school but by some people definition they are consider Boone is a doughnut county.
  18. He's worth every penny. Bench DJ for the true freshman needs to be his first million dollar move. They are a playoff team with a competent QB. Their defense is lights out once again.
  19. Very real chance OSU and Michigan are undefeated when they play. A 1 loss OSU/UM deserves to get in over a 2 loss Bama/UGA, in my opinion. SEC champion is getting in regardless, B10 champion is likely getting in unless teams like USC and Clemson run the table. Still have to factor in the B12 champion while they are still intact.
  20. Well 4 years from now that may be ND's angle but this year a 10-2 ND team shouldn't sniff the CFP. CFP is still taking 4 teams for the next few years. Trying to figure out ND's best win the last 5 years and wondering how they've made it into the CFP 3 of the last 5 years.
  21. Can't wait for the end of the year spin that a 10-2 ND teams deserves to be in the CFP because they played Ohio State close.
  22. Freeman get his first dub this week? Will his team show up in the second half? Hope it's not close at halftime.
